CLIFTON HEATON Correspondent - Representative Mrs. David Smart and children of Omaha, Neb., are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Alexander, while her husband, Captain Smart, is in Thailand. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Campbell and Mr. and Mrs. Murray Adams visited Mrs. Adams’ sister, Mrs. George Gregory and daughter in Greenwood, Sunday. Mrs. Billy Reynolds and childre n of Simpsonville spent the weekend with her parents, Rev. and Mrs. J. W. Spillers. Mr. Reynolds joined them on Sunday. Mrs. David Owens and Mrs. Bill Jones spent Sunday in Spartanburg with relatives. Sgt. A. P. Scott and family of Columbia and Bobby Scott of the University of South Carolina spent the weekend with their mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Simpson. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd ^Scott of Green wood were also guests of their mother. Howard Stroud of Colum- b a spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. - and Mrs. B. B. Stroud. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Hames were their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lorrance Peace and children of Greenville. R. Han son held a drop-in at their h ome on Cedar St. on Sun- r day, December 17, from 3:00 o.m. to 5:00, p.m., to enter tain co-workers and em ployees of the Torringtbn Company. The front door was deco rated with a wreath of cut pine cones mounted on a ring covered in red satin. Pine cones were used again in the centerpiece, where a spray was garnished with Christmas ornaments and flanked with white candle- holders featuring red lighted tapers. The refreshments were ar rayed on the buffet table. Guests enjoyed a choice of a fruit punch or the tradition al Christmas egg nog. Mrs. Getty* Has Drop-In Throughout the morning and afternoon hours of Mon day, December 18, Mrs. Jo seph Geitys entertained large groups 'of callers at her home on W. Maple St. for a Christmas drop-in. The den was decorated with a white Christmas tree, cov ered with wooden ornaments and handmade styrofoam satin balls. Guests were in vited to partake of refresh ments served buffet style on the dining room table decor ated by lighted red tapers, and they helped themselves to such delicacies as party sandwiches, cheese biscuits Christmas candy, and cook ies. Spiced tea complemented the food.
