to
wish the people of LaUrens County a MERRY
CHRISTMAS and a happy and prosperous NEW
YEAR. May we all remetnber what Christmas
really means, the Birth of JESUS CHBIST, the
only begotten Son of Gbd, the SAVIOUR bf the
WORLD, the one who can give each individual
the answer to hirs or her problems ahd joy and
peace that passeth all understanding.
As we prepare to celebrate this glorious
and matchless event, which took place some
two thousand years ago, may we, the people
of Laurens County, realize our own personal
responsibility to our neighbor and most of all
Jrf to our HEAVENLY. FATHER to make this a
better world in which to live.
As we realize this is each individual’s re
sponsibility may we stand up with courage and
faith, knowing that even though we can do
nothing within ourselves, we can do all things
through JESUS CHRIST who strengthens us.
WE CAN HAVE A BETTER WORLD. So may
we be united in prayer and purpose toward this
end.
MAY OUR PRAYER EVER BE:
LORD, make us an instrument of Thy peace;
Where there is hatred, let us sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there i^ doubt, fai,th;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where thefe is sadness, joy;
O DIVINE MASTER, grant that we may not so
much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning we are pardoned;.
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal
life.
