GUY COPELAND In Amphibious Force Machinist’s Mate Second Class Claude C. Waldrop, Jr., USN, son of Mrs. Annie L. Waldrop of Joanna, is with thq U; S. Atlantic Fleet Amphibi ous Force, which is celebrat ing its 25th anniversary this month, while serving aboard the attack cargo ship USS Oglethorpe. Established in February of 1942, the force is now 20,000 men strong, and operates 60 ships of different types. Cross Hill News MRS.
