At Lander Service
Dr. Joseph M. Gettys, aca-
domic dean of Presbyterian
College, was speaker on Wed
nesday, March 15, at Honors
Day exercises at Lander Col
lege, Greenwood. The occa
sion honored eight students
who wore inducted into the
Colden “L” Society, honorary
scholarship organization.

Gets Double Eagle
William C. Dobbins, Jr., had
a great afternoon of golf Mon
day at the Lakeside Country
Club. He shot a double eagle
on the seventh hole. He se-
'ected a driver and three wood
for the five-par hole and made
it with two strokes.
