Thompson, who has been superintendent- of Laurens Countv School District 55 since .1958, will not seek reelection for another term. Thompson’s term expires at the end of the current school vear. The board of trustees of the district would have met in January to elect him to an other term had he not an nounced he was not seeking it. Poole Wholesale C«. f Gaffney, overturned Saturday shortly afternoon on Highway 56 three miles north of Clinton. The driver, John Edwin Philips,, 20, of Rt. 6, Gaffney, was charged with driving too fast for conditions. Haskell A. Ledbetter of Gaffney, was a passenger in the truck.
