William Martin Boyce, stu dent at Clemson University spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H, A. Boyce. Mrs. W. O. Turner is a pa tient at the General Hospital in Greenville where she has undergone surgery. Mr. and Ms. e' \v. W'hlttle of Columbia were guests of Mrs. Pauline Wade Sunday. At Lutheran Church At the worship service next Sunday in St. John’s Lutheran Church the interim pastor, Dr. E. B. Keislcr, will devote about five minutes to the reading of a Manifesto which was adopted in June by the Lutheran Church in America and designed to be read in each congregation at all ser vices on Sunday, Oct. 30, “Re formation Sunday”. The doc ument calls upon congrega tions, and members thereof, to reexamine their life and la bor in the light of the present social, moral and religious up heaval. In th e spirit of observing the anniversary of the begin ning of the Reformation un der Martin Luther in the 17th century, Dr. Keisler will preach a brief sermon on the subject, “Going Back for a New Start”. tJjVbZVG?
