David Watts and family have been transferred to Fort Knox, Ky. Captain Watts recently returned from a tour of duty in Viet Nam. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Watts of this city. Mrs. Wilmot Shealy is convalescing at her home on South Woodrow Street fol lowing an illness and stay at Bailey Memorial Hospital. ATTEND MEETING Mr. and Mrs. Tom Addi son and Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Alexander spent last Thurs day, Friday, and Saturday in Kansas City, Mo., where they attended the National Sales convention of Waddell and Reed, Inc. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Coop er, Jr., returned Friday from several days stay in Florida, going especially to attend the showing of 1967 Ramblers in Jacksonville. While away they also visited Mrs. Cooper’s sister, Mrs. E. W. Reeves, Jr., and fam ily at Vero Beach. Mr. and Mrs. V. Parks Adair arrived from Hamp ton, Va., where they have been spending the past sev eral months with their daughter, Miss Vivian Parks Adair. Guy G. Smith is a patient at Bailey Memorial Hospital where he Is undergoing treat, ment. Visiting with him and Mrs. Smith are their chil dren, Guy G. Smith, Jr., of Charleston, and Mrs. Pete Blackmon of Winnsboro. Miss Sallie Anderson of Columbia, is visiting Dr. and Mrs. D. O. Rhame. Mr. and Mrs. James T. Smith and sons, Mike and Ronnie, and Miss Nancy- Walker of Columbia, were guests of Mrs. Smth’s par ents, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Holland, on F-riday, coming especially for , the Clinton High-Lower Richland foot ball game. Their grandson. Ronnie, was a member of the Lower Richland band which performed at half time. IN BAILEY MEMtORIAL Thornwell Dunlap is con valescing at Bailey Memo rial Hospital following a sudden illness last Wednes day. Mrs. C. B. Kugler has re turned to her home at Myr tle Beach following a visit with her father, C. C. Giles, who adbompanied her home while convalescing from a recent illness and hospital stay. Mrs. Charles Crowl and little daughter, Kristen, of Norfolk, Va., are visiting her mother, Mrs. R. W. Johnson. Jim McDonald is a patient at Bailey Memorial Hospital. Dr. and Mrs. E. N Sulli van spent Sunday in Colum bia, going especially to vis it Dr Sullivan’s aunt, Mrs. Emma Craig, who , is ill. Mrs. Norman S. Black is a patient at Bailey Memoral Hospital where she is under going treatment. Miss Sue Bragg is a student at the University Hospital School of Nursing in Augusta, Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Powell of Whiteville, N. C., visited thte latter’s grandmother, Mrs. John W. Finney, Sr., during the week-end. Mrs. Finney accompanied them to Loris where she is vis iting her son and daughter- in-law-, Mr. and Mrs. Mac Finney. HOUSE PRESIDENT Miss Ellen McMaster of Winnsboro, a junior at Con verse College, Spartanburg, and granddaughter of Mrs. Hugh Simpson of this city, is serving as house president for the freshman class at Converse for the 1966-67 ses sion. Mrs. Stahl is the mother of Mrs. Richard Morgan, and made her home in Clin ton for several months. Among the newcomers to Clinton ai^e Mr. and Mrs. Rog er Bellamy of Greenville. He is employed by the Govern ment Forestry Service, and they reside at Copeland’s Trailer Court. Mrs. John W. Finney, Jr., spent Tuesday in Washing ton, Ga., with her mother, Mrs. P. B. Adair, and her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. DeLeon Reynolds. Week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Muller was their daughter, Miss Beverly Muller, a student at Win- throp College, Rock Hill. Also visiting with her was her roommate, Miss Geta Banner ing, a Swedish exchange stu dent, who is attending Win- throp. FROM CALIFORNIA Miss Carla Muller arrived Sunday evening by plane from Menlo Park, Calif., to visit several days with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Muller. Miss Muller has visited sev eral times in the city and has a number of friends who wel come her back. Mr .and Mrs. John L. Setz- ler were guests the past week-end of the Rev. and Mrs. E. Bryan Keisler. Mr. Setzler is a student at the Southern Seminary in Colum bia and took part in the Sun day morning worship service at St. John’s Lutheran Church. He is also a gradu ate of Presbyterian College. Mr. and Mrs. Goyne Simp son, Mrs. Hubert Pitts, and Mrs. Hugh Simpson spent last Saturday with the latter daughter and son in-law, Mr. and Mrs. K. R. ATTENDING WOFFORD K. R. (Chuck) McMaster, son of Mr. and Mrs. K. R. McMastei of Winnsboro, has entered the frbshman class at Wofford College, Spartan burg. He is the grandson of rs. Hugh Simpson of this city. Mrs. M. G. Woodworth was called to Wytheville, Va., last week due to the death of her sister, Miss Mary Wheelwright. Services were conducted there on September 15. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pick ett and family and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Pickett and family of Lexington, N. C., and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Anderson and family of Pen dleton, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. William S. Hatton. VISITING IN KANSAS Mrs. H. Willingham, pastor of Fairview Baptist Church, Kinards, will direct the choirs and congregational, singing. Miss Jean Foster is organist and Misses Ann Webb and Nancy Trammell are the pianists. Mr. Farmer is a native ot Mississippi, a graduate of Co- piah-Lincoin, Wesson, Miss., and University of Southern Mississippi. He is a layman who is an evangelist and Chris tian worker.
