This week they had Mrs. Dot Petty and Mrs. Edith Petty from NCw Orleans, La. Sunday guests of Mrs. Dol- lie Mae Carr were Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Carr of Aiken. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Mur phy and Mr. and Mrs. Mac Williams and children spent the week-end at Myrtle Beach. Birthdays and Anniversaries Happy birthday today, Aug. 4 to Lavinia Maw, Ed Byars, Tony Hunnicutt, and Ralph Proter. On Sunday, August 7 birth -day celebrants will be Lillie Prater, and Algie Abrams. Also, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Lawson will observe a wed ding anniversary. The 8th brings birthdays to Tommy Holley, Toni Os borne, Doug Clark and Fran ces Hayes., Rhelt Abrams and Carson Nabors are sent birthday greetings on Aug. 9. John Rice and Joy Abrams will celebrate a birthday oa Aug. 10. McPherson Rites Held Wednesday William David McPherson, 71, died Monday evening at 6:30 at a local hospital after three years of declining health. He was a native of Laurens County, but had made his home in Waterloo and moved to Clinton three years ago. He was a member of the Davidson Street Baptist Church in Clinton. He was a former Mason, and was em ployed in construction work. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ollie Fuller McPherson; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Rachel) Tinsley of Easley; two sons, William David Mc Pherson, Jr., of Vandalia, Ohio, and John Bennett Mc Pherson of Fairfax; four sis ters, Mrs. Frank Allen of Greenville; Mrs. George Ja cobs of Miami Beach, Fla.; Mrs. Marshall Gatchell of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Mrs. Clyde Mann of Waterloo; ten grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 4:30 p. m. at the Davidson Street Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Floyd Hellams, Rev. B. L. Wood, and Rev. J. C. Parker. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church cemetery near Cold Point. Pallbearers will be Tom Hill, Tan Ray, C. H. Cren shaw, Charles Elmore, J. Ad dison Neighbors and Albert Britt. She is county winner this year in the dairy fbpds demcnstra- tion activity and has been , a 4-H Club member for four years. Her other projects are clothing, dress revue, foods and nutrition. Annette has participated in all club activities and won blue ribbons, and alsd in the county achievement program.; Annette is shown pitting some custard cups in the refrigerator for chilling following baking. This is one way to use dairy products for the family and insure the daily requirehients for'each person. Her demonstration features using dairy products in various ways.
