Adair St., and the late Mr. Payne, Saturday at eight o’clock. Th* vows were spoken be fore a background of mag nolia leaves draped along the chancel rails with three ar rangements of star burst pom poms, chrysanthemums, and gladioli placed to the center back and to each side. Three nine - branched candelabra with burning tapers were used to the back of the ar rangements. The Rev. James D. Med ley and Rev. Joseph A. Greer performed the ' double ring ceremony before a large as- s e m b 1 y of relatives and friends. A program of nup tial music was presented by Mrs. J. Ferdinand Jacobs and Mrs. Robert Hellams of Mount Pleasant, soloist. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was met at the altar by the groom and hrs best man, William Brooks Owens, Jr., of South Amboy, N. J. She was attired in a formal gown of peau de. soie having a court train. .Aleneon lace formed the bateau neck- tine and lace bordered the Veil which she wore mantilla style. She carried a cascade of roses. Her only jewelry was a dia mond necklace, a gift of the groom. Usher - greomsmeh were Hayhe B. Workman, Jr., brother of the bride of Kin ards; Charlton Law of Char lotte; Milling Blalock of Co lumbia; Richard Gasquc of Dillon; and Marion Hiers of ClintOQ. Lukstat of Arlinfton, Mass., was flower girl. Eacti bridal attendant wore a Ml-lengtii dress of white chiffon Gedrgette over taf feta. Hie basque bodice was accented with two bows in front aUd was designed with modified bateau neckline and elbow-lengtlv sleeves. A Wat teau panel reached from a bow at the Shoulders to the hem of the sheath skirt. Each young woman wore a *vetl of white illusion and car ried an old-fashioned bouquet of Yuletide roses and gyp- sophelia. Little Miss Lukstat appear- ed in a white^l$.£m£roi<Jer- ed organdy gown with a fitted bodice, bateau neckline, and capped sleeves. She earned a white satin basket filled with red rose petals. The bride’s parents enter tained with a reception in the church Fellowship hall follow ing the ceremony. Centering the refreshments table from where sandwiches, ham biscuits, cheese straws, mints, nuts, cake squares arid punch were served, was cen tered with a silver epergne of snowddift pom poms, gaza daisies, and gypsophilia. To one side a silver candela brum was used with the sil ver punch bowl to the other. The bride’s table was cen tered with the three-tiered wedding cake iced with white roses and pale green leaves. He is a 1964 graduate of St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Lau- rinburg, N. C. The bride was graduated from Columbia College with a B. A. degree an elementary education.
