C., for an extended visit with

Mac Hiers has resumed his
studies at the University of
South Carolina, Columbia, after
spending several days with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion
Hters, during semester break.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Poole
have returned to their home in
Miami, Fla., after spending a
ten-day leave with her mother,
Mrs. Opal Crouch, and grand
mother, Mrs. Guy Copeland.
They will return this week-end
for a short, visit prior to going
to Massachusetts where they
will fly to England where he
will be stationed with the U.
S. Air Force.

funeral servces of Mac B. Hipp
on Saturday. Mrs. Copeland

mained for a longer visit.

the semester break.
Miss Ethel Hunter has return
ed from a week’s visit with her
brother and sister-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Lee Hunter, in Green

and son, Todd, of Decatur, Ga.,

Texas, have been spending sev
eral days with Mrs. Lane’s and

day for St. Petersburg, Fla.,
where he has accepted a posi
tion with an accounting firm.

Rev. John Rivers, until this
week pastor of All Saints Epis
copal Church, left Sunday for
Lexington, Ky., where he is now
serving as assistant pastor of
Christ Episcopal Church. Mrs.
Rivers and their four children
will leave Clinton February 15
to join Mr. Rivers in Lexington.
Dr. and Mrs. N. C. Wessinger
returned last Thursday from Vir
ginia, having gone especially to
attend the Dental Alumni Asso
ciation continuing education
meeting at the medical college
in Richmond. Visiting in the
Wessinger’s home while they
were away was Mrs, A. 0\ Owen
of Anderson. She was with her
grandchildren, Derek, Karen,
and Kevin Wessinger.

from Durham, N. C., spent the
