ATTEND EDENS DAY Among Clintonians attending Edens Appreciation Day in Co lumbia on Saturday were Bob- McEikiney, Vickie Brown and Danny Wyatt of Presbyterian College, Mrs. Murray Adams of this city, and B. W. Crouch of MountviUe. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. W. G. King/ Sr., over the week-end were their grandson, Sandy Cruickshanks of Gainesville, Fla., and friends Bill Dees and Larry Keen, also of Gaines ville. While here, they attended the Presbyterian College danc es on Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Amkk were visitors in Prosperity dur- lug the week-end. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Martin and family over the week-end were Mr. and Mrs. Sam W. Allen and children of Columbia. On Saturday evening the Allens were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Martin for the Cotil lion Club dance. Mike Riggs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Riggs, of this city, arrived in Norfork, Va. last Sat urday where he will be tempor ary stationed with the U.S. Navy aboard the E. A. Green Des troyer. Prior to his arrival in Va. he had spent the past three weeks on a Bermuda Cruise. RECEIVES COACH AWARD Mr. and Mn. Claude Howe ac companied by Tom Hartness of Greenville, and Mr. and Mrs. Bob King of Furman, were guests at the Palmetto Club in Columbia on Tuesday evening for the Pepsi Cola Coach of the Year Awards. At this time coach Howe was presented a plaque for being Judged by fellow coaches as one of the 10 best high school coaches, in the state. Mrs. Annie BeUe Brown and Mn. M. T. Poole visited their brother, James A. Poole, and Mn. Poole in Dunn, N. C., over the week-end. Mr. and Mn. G. A. Black spent the week-end in Atlanta, Ga., with their son, Mr. and Mn. Butler Black, going espec ially for the wedding of their grandson, Butler WUson Black, and Myra Sue Jones which took place Saturday afternoon at the Peachtree Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Gene Wilson officiat ing.
