Answer—You can often effect a camouflage job «by melting candle wax of a matching color, pouring this into the hole, and smoothing it out while it’s still soft. Answer—No. All you have to do is to protect the bristles of the brush from the air, and you can do this by wrapping them tightly in aluminum foil, twist ing and shaping the end of the sheet around the brush handle, This will prevent the paint from hardening in the bristles. Question — How can I the button holes from fraying when working them into looee ly-woven fabrics? Buried resentments, old grudg es, deep fixed fears, and uncon fessed sins are deadly poisons to the body as well as to the mind. Modern medical science has proven that. The Psalmists of old knew that and wrote about it In the 32nd Psalm. Its clear meaning was not revealed until the Revised Standard Version translation brought it to light. We read: "When I declared not my sin, my body, wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night Thy hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer.'’ This is quite a vivid description of some of our physi cal illnesses. Up until recently we consider ed such language as this rather figurative. The church did little to indicate that spiritual health is a large factor In physical health. The Psalmist also wrote out what we should do with these buried resentments and fears, such as unconfessed sin: “I acknowledge my sin to Thee, and I did not hide my iniquity; I said, T will confess my transgression to the Lord'; then thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin. Therefore let every one who is godly offer prayer to Thee; at a time of distress." Today’s answer through psy chiatry, psychoanalysis, spiri tual counseling is the same—un burden, confess. It was so in David’s time: "I win confess my transgressions to the Lord; then thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin." Psychitrists would call this confession the "talk cure." The following story is told by the fa mous Dr. Sigmund Frued him self. He had a wealthy woman patient who was afflicted with cancer. She kept mmiriiig ap pointments with him for consul tation. Finally, he said, "Mad am, there Is nothing further I can do for your case. I shouldn't take your money." The woman repUed, "But I like to talk to you aad I am willing to pay for it if you win name the price." Reluctantly he agreed and In due time he was amazed to discover that the patient was getting well. I had a similar experience some years ago. A woman of my acquaintance would have a mild heart attack about once a year, be hospitalized, take treat ment, recover, go back home. The process continued for soma time. I suspected It was soma burled resentment. One evening after visiting hours I slipped into her room, found her alone. I prayed and then led. the conversation around to where she confessed to hold ing an old resentment for many years. We prayed It out When I left her I told her she would sleep well that night and prob ably wouldn’t have another one of those heart 'attacks.
