Stewart 'spent several days recently va cationing at Fontana, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gilstrap, Jr., spent the week-end in Charleston, going for The Cita del-South Carolina football game on Saturday. During the week end they enjoyed sightseeing and a horbor cruise. Kenneth Trammell has accept ed a position as physical ther apy technician at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood. He and Mrs. Trammell and soon will move to Greenwood. Bruce Mills has resumed his studies at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. He was home for the week-end with his mother, Mrs. J. B. Patter son, and Mr. Patterson. Mrs. Jim Deau has returned to her work following several weeks recuperation from a sur gical illness. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Lanford visited Mr. and Mrs. Ed Greer in Union Saturday. On Sunday they visited their sou, Johnny, at Clemson University. Johnny accompanied his parents to Highlands, N. C., for dinner. Mr. and Mrs. John Snelgrove and Miss Gloria Cato were Sun day guests of their sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Odus Young, in Laurens. Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Roberts and Clyde Trammell were in Clemson Saturday for the Clem- son-N. C. State football game. Saturday morning Mr. Roberts and Mr. Trammell attended he School of Industrial Manage ment and Textile Science held at the University. - Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Vander- ford, Mrs. Florence Wright and Mrs. Alma Callahan of Union, spent Sunday with the former’s son, J. B. Vanderford, and Mrs. Vanderford. In the afternoon Mrs. J. B. Vanderford and daughters visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Smith, in Union. Misses Pamela and Kathy Brown on Sunday accompanied Mrs. Henry Trammell and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Trammell to the Camden Military Academy in Camden to visit Keith Tram mell. Pvt. Junior Cato is spending a 14-day leave with his father, Wal ter Cato, Sr., and Mrs. Cato af ter completion of basic train ing at Fort Jackson in Colum bia. He wiU go to Fort Lee, Va., following a leave. Robert Bailey has accepted a position in Cheraw. Mrs. Bailey and son are wth her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. McLendon nail will join Mr. Bailey in the near future to make their home there. Millard Phillips of Gaffney, and Mrs. Johnny Barnes and daughers of Woodruff, visited their parents and aunt and un cle, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Phipps, Sunday. Mrt. Mary Fallaw and Her bert Fallaw visited their daugh ter and sister, Mrs. David Soray, and Mr. Soray in Greenville Sat urday. Mr. Fallaw and Mr. and Mrs. David Storay attended the Clemson-N. C. State football game at Clemson Saturday af- eraoon. Miss Maude Harvey and Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Harris visited their aunt, Mrs. Lillian Daven port, in Easley Sunday. Mrs. Harold Frick and chil dren, Phyllis and Steve, spent Sunday with relatives in Cross Hill. Gary Goss of the Medical Col lege, Charleston, and Warren Goss of Columbia, spent the week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Goss. Sunday dinner guests of the Goss family were Miss Kathy Salter of Jo- La urens. Miss Janice Goss ac- anna and Miss Virginia Sims of companied Gary back to Charleston Sunday afternoon. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bodie were Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Berry and chil dren of Fork Shoals, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pitts and Donny of Clinton. Mrs. Thelma Hadden and chil dren of Spartanburg, visited Sun day with her mother, Mrs. R. G. Johnson, and brother, Bobby Johnson, and Mrs. Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie James visited her brother. Colie Hill, and nephew, Irvin Hill and Mrs. Hill in Abbeville Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Cooper accompanied thier son, Pete, to Charleston on Tuesday of last week where he has resumed his studies at The Citadel. Mr. and Mrs. S. B. PARTY FOR SON Mr. and Mrs. Thomas James entertained with a birthday party for their son, Timmy, Sat urday afternoon at their home.
