Rogers of Broad Street Metho dist Church will be honored at a reception at the church from 7 until 8 o'clock tonight. Members and friends of the church and other ministers and their wives in the vicinity are in vited to attend and meet Mr. Rogers, who was assigned to Broad Street two weeks ago, Mrs. Rogers and their family. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hinson of this city announce the marri age of their daughter, Kay Fran ces, to Gary Leon Lewis, son ol Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lewis of Great Falls. The marriage was per formed July 3. Mrs. Lewis was graduated in May of this year from Clinton High School and is employed by the Leonard-Marler Insurance Agency. Mr. Lewis is employed by the Torrington Bearing Plant. They are now making their home on the Airport Road in, Clinton. f Visitors Here Are Entertained * Mrs. Edward Campbell and Mrs. Marc Weening compli mented Mn. Ben Ivey, Mn. John Jordan and Mn. Leo C. McCarthy with a morning party Friday, July 2nd, at the Weer- sing’s home on South Broad Street. Guests were received by the hostesses from ten o’clock until 12 noon and invited into the din ing room. Mothen of the hono- -rees, Mrs. Walter Johnson and Mn. Robert Wysor, poured cof fee from a prettily appointed table covered with an Italian cut-work cloth centered with an arrangement of red roses in sil ver compote. Party dainties in keeping with the summer motif were enjoyed. Elsewhere in the home ar rangements of summer flowers were used. Others assisting in entertain ing were Mesdames Cally Gault, Ben Hammett, Tommy Stal- worth, William Cannon, Harry McSween and Judson Davis. Dinner Given For Major, Mrs. Ivey Mr. and Mrs. H. Francis Bla lock complimented Major and Mrs. Ben Ivey with dinner Fri day evening, July 2, at their cottage home on Lake Green wood. Upon arrival punch and party dainties were served on the patio, later being invited into the cot tage dining room where dinner was served. Flower arrange ments placed at points of inter est were used in keeping with the summer motif. Mr. and Mrs. John Rainey of Clemson were among out-of-town guests. Assisting the Blalocks in entertaining were Miss Dot Tay lor and Mr. and Mrs. James Von Hollen. with Cuyahoga County, Ohio, Mayors’ and City Managers’ Association and lives at 26630 N. Moreland Blvd., Apt. 20, in Cleveland. The wedding will take place Aug. 28 in Starmount Presby terian Church. Entertains Cousins With Drop-In Sarah Lynn Wysor, daughter of Mrs. Robert E. Jones and Bob Morris Seymour Jr. celebrated his sixth birthday Tuesday after noon, July 6, with a party at his home on 404 Hickory Street. Tables were arranged outside on the lawn with the party table covered with birthday cover and centered with the birthday cake. To one side was the punch bowl entwined with ivy. Other decora tions included colorful paper lanterns suspended from branch es near the decorated tables. Ice cream, cookies, candy, and punch were enjoyed. Later in the afternoon, party games were played and open ing of the birthday gifts. Some 25 friends of the honoree were present. Morris is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris B. Seymour.
