Lynn of Capristrana Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Earl Dunn of Greensboro, N. C., were‘guests last week of Mrs. Floyd Pitts and Bon nie. Mrs. Joanna Brown, Clar ence and Robert are spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Tompkins before moving to Tifton, Ga., where Mr. Brown is working with Belk’s. Mr and Mrs. Frank Simpson and granddaughter, Barbara Turner, of Atlanta, Ga., were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Preston White and Mrs. Ora Simpson. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Craven and Gaye and Miss Libby Na bors spent last week at Myrtle Beach. Recent week-end guests of Mrs. Maude Franklin were Mrs. W. L. Mayfield of Charleston, Mr. and Airs. Harmon of Columbia, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Dawkins and children of Pickens, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sheppard and baby daughter of White Rock, and O’Shell Pennington of Lau rens. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Cole and Mrs. Edna Ballard and Libby visited Claude Farmer at the Veterans hospital in Co lumbia on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Rafe Boyce, Dalton and Beth attended the Folsom reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Folsom in Darlington on Sunday. Attend ing also from Clinton were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Rogers, Judy and Linda. Mr. and Mrs. Andra Kim- mell of Bethlehem, Pa., left on Sunday evening after a week’s visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Beckom. They were here for the Beckom- Newburn wedding in Green wood which they attended on Sunday at the Lowell Street Methodist Church there. “POP” CONYERS HONORED J. C. “Pop” Conyers of Jo anna was honored with a din ner on Father’s Day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Morrow in Enoree. Attend ing were all of his children, twenty-four grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. The only members of the family being absent were Sgt. and Mrs. Al fred R. James and three chil dren. Attending from here were: Mrs. Jessie Broome, Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Shealy and children, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Patterson and children, Mr. and Mrs. Foster Broome, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Buck Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Hazel. He was remembered with gifts. Miss Libby Rogers of Flor ence, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr * and Mrs. J. Z. Rogers. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Riser and children were Saturday supper guests of Mrs. Helen Rowe. Mrs. Champ Johnson and Betty visited Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Knight in Pelzer Sun day. * Guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. 11. Craig and Chris last Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hen line and children of Spartan burg and Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Craig of Greenville. Week-end guests were Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Craig of Greenville. Mrs. Earl Connell, Mrs. Lou Kitchens and Mrs. John Bur nett spent the latter part of last week with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Connell in Bain bridge, Ga. The former's step-chil dren, Libby, Mickey and Fran Connell returned with them for an extended visit. Mr. Connell, who is working in West Vir ginia, was home for the week end with his family. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hair and granddaughter, Dina, Wen- deli and Ruth Hair were Sun day dinner gusets of Mr. and Airs. F. M. Hair in Newberry.
