These and others of Mrs. Webb’s family have visited her at intervals since her admittance to the hospital. Friends ars glad to know she is improving. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Todd of Rock Hill, were Saturday visitors of his father, S. J. Todd, and sister, Mrs. Homer Fuller and Mr. Ful ler. Mrs. Helen Shirley of Green wood, spent the week-end with Mrs. Pauline Lawson and Mr. • and Mrs. Leslie Austin. She also visited other friends in the com- muniyt. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Walker, Mary and Jimmy, with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Wrenn and son, Ran dy, and granddaughter, Dianne, of Waterloo, were recent visitors att Echo Valley and caesar’s Head. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Morton and family were called to Wood ruff Friday because of the death of his brother, James A. Mor gan. Mrs. B. B. Bagwell, Mrs. How ard Styles of Chester, and Mrs. Hubert Brown of Vaucluse, Ga., visited Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Smith the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Smith have been ill at their home. Mrs. Mark Conner visited on Tuesday of last week with her son, Frank James, Mrs. James and family. Mrs. Sidney Oakley, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Kuykendall and granddaughter, Lizanne Wright, were recent visitors of Mrs. M. J. Abercrombie in Fountain Inn. They all visited in Greenwood recently. Miss Gloria Jackson of Win- throp College, Rock Hill, spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs. Ezzie Miller, and Mr. Mil ler. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lark and daughter of Asheville, N. C., were week-end guests of his pa rents, Mr. and Mrs. B. P. Lark. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Trammell and Miss Feroline Seay visited Mr. and Mrs. Royce Smith near Laurens on Saturday evening- On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Tram mell visited Mr. and Mrs. John Heath in Greenville. Friends will be sorry to know that Mrs. Smith entered Self Memorial hospital in Greenwood Sunday fen* sur gery on Monday. Mrs. E. C. Burdette spent a recent week-end with her moth er, Mrs. W. S. Manning, in Iva. Whle there she attended a party for Mrs. Donald Manning, the Korean wife of Mrs. Burdette’s nephew, Sgt. Donald Maning, who has just returned to the states after four, years duty in Korea. Mr. and Mrs. Burdette visited his brother, E. J. Bur dette, and Mrs. Burdette in Greenwood Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Greer of Union, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Laaford ocfSaturday evening. Johnny Lanford was a guest at the University of South Carolina in Columbia on Satur day along with others from Clin ton High School. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Ballard, Miss Marian Ballard and Mr. and Mrs. J. B. O’Shields visited Mrs. Balard’s sister, Mrs. Bill Rowe, in the Mountain View hospital, Hendersonville, N. C., recently. Mrs. Sam Prince and Misses Nettie and Roberta Prince visit ed their sister and aunt, Mrs. Will McHaffie, Sunday in Arca dia. Sherry, Dale and Steve Camp- bel spent the week-end in Green ville with their mother, Mrs. Jim Davenport, and Mr. Davenport. Malcolm Sanders was the week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Floyd in Roebuck. W. P. Terrell has returned home after spending several weeks in Tampa, Fla., with his son, Rev. B. E. Terrell, and Mrs. Terrell. Rev. and Mrs. Ter- relL accompanied him home and remained for a few days. Miss Janice Goss of Winthrop Colege, Rock Hill, and Ronald Williams of Rock Hill, were Sun day diner guests of the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Goss. In the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. P. L. Hall and Larry, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hall and chil dren of Augusta, Ga., visited the Goss family. Claude Gilstrap spent the past week in Greenville with hih son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Gilstrap, and other relatives. Nathan Gilstrap, with one of his classmates from Clem- son University, spent the week end with his father, Claude Gil strap. Mrs. Gilstrap is in Green ville with her mother, Mrs. I. J. Fair, who is ill. Mr. and Mrs. George Attaway of Newberry, were recent visi tors of the former’s sister, Mrs. W. L. Motte, and Mr. Motte. Mrs. David Word, Misses Sue Word and Marie Weir were visi tors in Columbia Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Trammell, with Mr. and Mrs. Berry Tram mell, Mr. and Mrs. Grady Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Houston Ellis attended the funeral services of Berry Trammell’s brother, H. H. Trammell, in Knoxville, Tenn., on Tuesday of last week. Bruce Mills of the University of South Carolina, Columbia, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lawton and daughter of Orangeburg, have visited their mother, Mrs. J. B. Patterson, and Mr. Patter son, who has been seriously ill at Bailey Memorial Hospital, during the past week. Misses Sue and Margaret Brock of Newberry, were week end guests of their aunt and unde, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bodie.
