SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY Mrs. William Metts and Mrs. Murray Adams gave Janice Metts a surprise birthday party at the Blue Bird meeting Mon day at the community house. CHURCH AND COMMUNITY NEWS The Dorcas Class of Calvary Baptist Church had the Christ mas party December 8 at the community bouse. The host esses were Mrs. Herbert Hughes, Mrs. Leo Heatheriy and Mrs. D. Bagwell. They served sandwich es, cake and coffee. Gifts were exchanged. • • • The Woman's Class of the Church of God had their Christ mas party last Sunday after noon at the Panorama Lodge. i • • • The T. E. L. class of Calvary Baptist Church had their Chriit- mas party December 10 at the community house. They had their husbands as guests and served a turkey supper. .Mrs Eva Land, teacher, and Mrs.,, Marvin Whitmire, assistant teacher, were presented gifts. • V • The Clinton Woman’s Club held the annual Christmas din ner Saturday, December 12, at the community house. A ham supper was served buffet style. 1 Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Vance, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Crocker, and Mr. and Mrs. B. Templeton. A play was presented by the club members.
