IOGAS HOOVER WHY did we give up in Cuba? We calcd the communist bluff on Oct. 22, 1962. We demanded on-tight inspection. Why 24 hours later did we agree to UN inspection? Why 24 hours alter that to inspection by the Red Goss? Why after that did we do nothing? Are the missiles stil there? WHEN did America first adopt a no-win policy? Under the Democrats in Korea! Why was MacArthur fired? He wanted to win! WHAT tinhorn dictator will pull Uncle Sam’s whiskers next? the tinhorn in Cuba. . . or the school children in Panama again? WHERE wfl our boys be fighting next in something that looks like war, kills like war, but is caNcd “peace” by LBJ, McNamara, and the other appeasers? WHAT good does it do to tell families of our boys who will die today in Viet Nam that “this isn’t war”? WHY don t we have peace and freedom through preparedness and strength and worldwide respect, instead of ”pcace” like Viet Nam and ’’respect’’ like Panamanians have for us? Pha to f* to chartk \mbmiwUr~ It was in May, several years ego that Mildred moved next door. That was a break for Eric. It is so easy to get acquainted with one’s neighbors. The first date naturally called for careful strategy. You don’t want to seem too eager — but you want to know what she likes ... and what she’s like. Eric's and Mildred’s first date was a Youth Fellowship supper at the church. Eric happens to be a leader of this group. And Mildred happens to be an earnest Christian girl Of course, happens is a very broad word. It means that Erie’s and Mildred’s parents had once decided that a son or a daughter ought to be given the advantage of religious training. Now Eric and Mildred are engaged. And everybody says they were meant for each other. And the altar before which they take their vows will be the heart of tbs religious life of their family. Thus it happens! sa.
