Freddie Tumblin and Frances Cooper were guests of the Coop ers in Great Falls last week-end. CHURCH NEWS Bailey Memorial Methodist men’s class had an oyster sup per at the church Saturday night. Out of town guests were Eland Harris and Jimmy Auston. Mrs. David Owens gave her Sunday school class a supper Saturday at her home. There was 29 members present. Mrs. Owene is a member of the Pente costal Church. Bailey Memorial Church will start revival services October 11 to run through the 17th. Rev. Miller wftt conduct the service*. SIT-lc-Ol Still Found In Lake House This is the liquor still found beneath a house on Lake Greenwood Tuesday night last week after of ficers who were watching the place caught five men who broke in and entered the house. The meiuall from Route 2, Piedmont, were said to have known nothing of the still. They left the house quickly after breaking in a basement door and discovering the still. Sheriff R. Eugene Johnson, several deputies and fed eral agents arrested the mm as they attempted 9* leave in their car. The still was destroyed by the sher iff, Deputies C. D. Benjamin, Jr., and Tad Ward and three federal agents. The five men were taken to the Laurens County jail and officers continued their in vestigation of the operation ci the still.
