Wade Pennington visited his
mother, Mrs. Lola Pennington,

has resumed her studies at Fur

where she is a junior. She was
the youth director at the Lydia
Baptist Church during the sum
mer.

has been employed at Myrtle
Beach for the summer.
Miss Gloria Jackson spent a
few days last week with her aunt
and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Burton
Reeder, in Clinton, while her
cousin, Mrs. Billy Pitts and
children of Pendelton was visit
ing the Reeders. Miss Jackson
will leave Friday to enter Win-
throp College, Rock Hill, where
she will be a freshman.

Girls’ Auxiliary enjoyed a com
bined Meeting and party at the
Lydia Baptist Church.
Each one brought a gift to be
put under the Christmas tree.
These are to be sent to one of
the Baptist mission fields.
Miss Harriet Wilson, rising
junior at Furman University,
Greenville and summer youth
director at the church, spoke on
the Star Ideals. The girls sang
favorite hymns of each one.
Refreshments were served
from the buffet table which held
the lighted Christmas tree on
one end and the punch bowl on
the other.
