Pet Moats of Turner Air Force Base, Ga., Mrs. Moats and children of Joanna, returned last Wednesday after spending three weeks with her mother, Mrs. Ruth Clark, oth er relatives and friends in Denver, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Daven port and children are in Flint, Mich., for the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Rennie. Mr. and Mrs. Curt Salter, Kathy and Don left on Satur day to tour the Smoky moun tains for several days this week. They will wind up their vacation by spending this week-end at their cottage on Lake Murray. Ralph, Jimmy and Lyda Ann Clement, children of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Clement of Abbe ville, spent last week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Holcombe. Sunday dinner guests of the Holcombes were his sisters from Ander son, Mrs. Helen Turner and Miss Jennie Holcombe. Mr. and Mrs. Houston May and family are visiting Mrs. Annnie May in Manchester, Tenn. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Johnson, Rhonda and Anthony, of Green ville, were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Richard R. Moon. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Boyce were in Newberry on Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Wood. Bill Stewart and Keith of North Augusta, were guests of Mr. and Mrs Luke Clark re cently. Keith, who is spending the week, accompanied the Clarks to Charleston over the week-end to visit Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Darnell. Mrs. Thomas M. Sease and sons, Jimmy and Jody, of In dianapolis, Ind., are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Addison. They will be here for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Buford Lowery were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Davis over the week-end in Camden. Karen Lowery, who had been with the Davis family a week, returned home with them. Gus Cannon returned home from Bailey Memorial Hospital on Wednesday after a brief stay. Sunday out of town guests of the Cannons were Mr. and Mrs. Bardwell Cannon of Mi ami, Fla., and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Halyburton of Charleston. Sunday overnight guests were Mr. and Mrs. Eckard Boyce of Sumter. Mr. a ^and Mrs. Ed Hunnicutt attended the funeral of his sister, Mrs. Belle McAlister, in Donalds on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith vacationed at Ocean Drive Beach a few days this week. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Smith and grandson, Mike Johnson, along with Mr. and Mrs. Ed win L. Thomas are enjoying a fishing trip this week at Lake Murray. Miss Elaine Petty spent sev eral days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moore in Clin ton. On Sunday they enjoyed an outing at Echo Valley in Cleveland. James Murphy of Enoree was there also. Earl Holt, in the Army since Saturday, is stationed at Fort Jackson. Mr. and Mrs. Burley Hum phries visited Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Gault in Gaffney last Sunday. Mrs. Victoria Whitlock, Ron nie and Judy, David and Tony Moates joined by Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Holcombe and Donna Marie are spending the week with Mrs. Henry Jones and other relatives in Clarendon and Greensboro, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jacks, Mr. and Mrs. Deri Jacks and sons and Mrs. Sheila Campbell are vacationing at Myrtle Beach this week. At Myrtle Beach this week are Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Braw- ley and Chippy and Butch Stockman. Guests this week of the T. R. Chalks are Mr. and Mrs. Lou McMurray and daughters of Alta Vista, Va. . Last week visitors of Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Bodie were Mrs. Phyllis Middleton and children of Columbia. Mrs. Roberta Templeton and Mrs. Willie O’Dell enjoyed a visit last week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Tem pleton in Maridn, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Vaughan, Jr., spent last week-end at Myrtle Beach. John Buchanan and Miss Peggy Brown of Florence, were last week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dock Buchanan. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Boyce were Friday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Bow man in Hickory, N. C. Fred Buff of Lexington, N. C., re turned to Joanna with them. He will visit for two weeks* with the Boyce family and Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Hogan. Guests over the week-end of the Boyce family were Mr. and Mrs. Billy Glenn of Columbia. Another family at Myrtle Beach this week is the Nick Ayers. Tommy Jenkins, student at Massey College in Atlanta, Ga., spent a few days at home last week. COMBINATION DINNER W. D. Beckom was honored with a Father’s Day dinner combination last Sunday. His birthday was June 21. The din ner was held at the Chem- strand shelter.
