Coleman and Miss Sandra Coleman of Wa terloo and Barry Coleman of Americus, Ga., were guests on Father’s Day of their daughter and sister, Mrs. James Sim mons and family. Mr. and Mrs. J. Henderson * Pitts recently visited in Greens boro, N. C., as guests of Mrs. W. B. Farr Sr., going especially to attend the wedding of Miss Robin Farr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Farr Jr., on Saturday June 13. This past week-end Mr. and Mrs. Pitts attended the South Eastern Cotton Crushers Con vention in Charleston at the Fort Sumter Hotel. Mrs. Don Copeland is a patient at Greenville General Hospital, where she is improv ing after suffering severe burns recently. Mrs. David T. Mixon is a pa tient at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood. Johnston in Rich mond, Va. While there she at tended the National Press Wo men’s Annual Convention. Mrs. Arthur Gallman and Polly visited in Abbeville recently with Mr. and Mrs. Malcombe Price. Mrs. J. C. Pace and daughter, Dree, and the former’s mother- in-law, Mrs. Pace of Orangeburg visited several days last week in the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Weir while the Paces were outing at Lake Greenwood. Mrs. George S. McCowen of Macon, Ga. visited several days last week with Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Young and daughter, Kaq. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Seymour and sons spent the weekend in Bowman. Ga., where they visit ed their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hailey Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Horace Seymour. DEPARTED FOR WORLD’S FAIR AND SCANDINAVIAN TRIP Miss Corinne Boyd and Miss Murray Addison departed Sun day by plane for N .Y. where they joined Mr. and Mrs. Tom Addison and children, Mary Jane and Tommy, for several days stay at the World’s Fair. Miss Boyd and Miss Addison will sail on June 26 for a Scandinav ian trip touring points of interest in the European countries. They are expected to return from Paris during the latter part of August. Miss Emily Davis, who is at tending Winthrop summer school, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Davis. Bow den of Chattanooga, Tenn., will arrive today for a week-end vis it with the latter’s sister, Mrs. L. E. Cason. On Monday Mr. and Mrs. Cason will accompany the Bowdens for a visit with Mrs. Cason’s sister, Mrs. Lee M. Maier and Mr. Maier in Wil- iamlsport. Pa. They plan to be away for a month. Mr. and Mrs. W.
