Blakely has re turned to her home in Ora after a few days visit with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Blakely and Mr. and Mrs. Bluffe W. Blakely. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stanley and children of Hartsville, spent the week-end with Mrs. Stanley's pa rents, Mr.. and Mrs. W. E. Neighbors. Mr. Neighbors con tinues ill at his home. Mr. and Mrs. Tommy De Young of Clemson, visited Mr. and Mrs. Marvin DeYoung and Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Niver in Joanna during the week-end. Mrs. James Benoit and son, Keith, have returned to their home in Biloxi, Miss., after a two weeks visit with her pa rents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Mc Daniel. Mrs. McDaniel is the former Miss Betty McDaniel. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Vaughn of Gaffney, visited Mrs. Vaughn’s sister, Miss Mary Lizzie Owens, and brother, Roy Owens, during the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cauley and Frankie, Mrs. Attis Todd, Mrs. T. W. Harden and Mary Ann visited the former’s son, Keith Cauley at Clemson Sun day. They enjoyed a picnic at Oconee State Park. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Young, Jr., and son, Bob, spent Sunday in Charlotte, N. C., with Mrs. Young’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calhoun Harmo, ad also visited the former’s sister ad brother- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Wil liams. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Cunning ham of Griffin, Ga., visited Mr. Cunningham’s sisters, Mrs. Lar ry C. Martin and Mrs. Lila C. Stewart, on Monday. RETURNED FROM TRIP TO TENNESSEE Mrs. Ernest Ouzts and daugh ters have returned home from several weeks visit to Mrs. Ouzt’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Rushton and other relatives in Memphis, Tennessee. Last Wednesday they were joined by Mr. Ouzts who accompanied them home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry M. Young have returned from a several weeks’ visit with their daughter, Mrs. H. B. Williams, and Mrs. Wiliams in Charlotte, N. C. Friends of Mrs. Williams will be interested to know she has re turned to her position following an illness of several weeks. Relatives and friends of A. S. Yarborough of Tampa, Fla., have received word that he has returned to his home following surgery and hospital stay. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace M. Meggs and Bess and Wally of Florence spent the last week end with Mrs. Megg’s mother, Mrs. S. B. Pruitt who accom panied them home for a visit. VISITING FROM CHARLESTON Mr. and Mrs. John O’Neal and daughters, Shelia and Brenda, of Charleston are spending several df*ys with the latter’s sister, Mrs. David T. Mixon, Dr. Mix on and children. On Sunday they were joined by Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Mixon and daughter of An derson. Mrs. Joe Godfrey and daugh ter, Beth, of Charlotte visited re cently with Mrs. Collier Poole. Mr. and Mrs. George H. Cor- nelson and Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Templeton attended the Textile Convention at Sea Island, Geor gia several days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Hailey Brown and Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Rice of Bowman, Ga., were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Seymour and boys. Mrs. W. C. Baldwin spent Fri day in Fort Mills with a friend, Mrs. B. T. WUson. _ CELEBRATED BIRTHDAY Mr. and Mrs. Rhett P. Adair visited Wednesday with the lat ter’s sister, Mrs. D. E. Farr in Little Mountain, going especially for, the celebration of Mrs. Farr’s 85th birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Bill McCrary of Tampa, Florida are spending their vacation with Mrs. C. H. McCrary and family and also Mr. and Mrs. Charles Corley. ATTENDED CONVENTION IN NEW ORLEANS Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Wald ron recently attended the South Eastern Trust Officers Conven tion in New Orleans. While there they saw many points of in terest. While away, Mrs. Wald ron’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wil son Phillips of Columbia visited with the grandchildren. ATTENDED STATE JAYCEE MEETING Attending the State Junior Chamber of Commerce meeting in Columbia on May 16, 17, and 18 were Marvin Manley, Allen White, Charles Johnson, Bill Phelps, George Whitehead, and Russ Emerson. < * Clintonians attending the B. & P. CALIFORNIA VISITORS Miss Carla Muller of Menlo Park, California is visiting sev eral days with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Muller and daughter, Beverly. Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Cole of Athens, Ga., recently visited Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Winn, Miss Nell Hunter has returned from a visit with her sister, Mrs. Heide Trask, in Wilmington. N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Wyman Shealy have returned from a trip to Jacksonville, Fla. While there they toured many points of in terest in neighboring towns. Dr. and Mrs. Henry Burton and daughter, Ann were recent guests of the former’s mother, Mrs. G. A. Burton, while enroute to their home in Charleston. Dr. Burton was returning from Los Angeles, California where he had spent a week and attended an annual meeting of the Amer ican Psychiatric Association while Mrs. Burton and Ann visit ed relatives in Pickens. Bell Street High School Exercises Sunday and Monday Bell Street High School com mencement exercises will be held Sunday and Monday, Prin cipal McQuilla Hudson has an nounced. The annual sermon will be de livered Sunday at 7:00 p. m. by Rev. David Carter, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church, New berry. Graduation exercises are scheduled for Monday night at 8:00 o’clock. Addresses will be by James Byrd, valedictorian: Lillie Suber, salutatorian; and James Boyd, class president. Both of these programs will be held in the school auditorium.
