According to the state ASCS, the new wheat program offers par ticipating growers diversion pay ments on the normal yield of the diverted acres; a price support loan or purchase for his entire production, based on a natoinal average of $1.30 a bushel; and marketing certificates based on the normal production of his eligible wheat acreage. They point out, however, that growers who are interested only in price support for their 1964 wheat crop may qualify for loans or pur chase by keeping the wheat acre age on the farm within the farm’s wheat allotment. The State Commission of For estry has announced that they will grow approximately 56 mil lion seedlings for the 1964-1965 season. Seedling applications will be accepted through Sep tember 30. Orders received after September 30 will be filled as long as the supply lasts. Orders must be submitted on the official form, “Application for forest tree seedlings.” Slash, loblolly, long leaf and short leaf pine are sold for $4.50 per thousand FOB nursery.
