Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Boyce spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. James Bowman in Hick ory, N. C.; Fred Buff in Lexing ton, N. C.; Barbara and Elaine Boyce at Winthrop College, Rock heimer in Rock Hill; On Sunday they visited Mr. and Mrs. C'. E. Sims in Greenwood. Archie Boyce was dismissed Sunday from Self Memorial Hos pital, Greenwood, after undergo ing surgery. Mrs. Sara Whitmire and Miss Martha Godfrey were Saturday night visitors in Columbia. Friday night supper guests of Mrs. Floyd Pitts and Bonnie were Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Lynn of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Will Lynn of Clinton. Mr. and Mrs. Judson Whitmire were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Taylor in Great Falls. Mrs. Guy Prater and Cindy, and Mrs. Carson Nabors and Dale spent the week-end in At lanta, Ga., with their aunt, Mrs. J. L. Howard, and their mother, Mrs. E. J. Willingham. Mrs. Willingham is spending the sum mer with Mrs. Howard and working along with her in her Mr. and Mrs. Carl Phillips, interior decorating business. Mark and Cary, of Charlotte, N. C., spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Phillips. Guests of Mrs. J. M. Bozard, Mr. and Mrs. Derrill Bozard on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Rich ard Cash of Cowpens. Leonard Price of Erskine Col lege, Due West, spent the week end at home. Guests on Sunday of Mrs. W. E. Adams in Columbia were Mrs. Ruth A. Thomas and Sue, Mrs. Marlene Deberry and chil dren, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Moore and sons and Lewis Mar shall. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kinard were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Kinard and Mr. and Mrs. James Bouknight and Christy Lynn in Newberry. Guests on Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Jenkins were Mr. and Mrs. James Dickerson, Sudia Mae and Jamie of Lau rens. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Cannon were: Mrs. Cannon’s son and family, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Hogan. Out of town guests of the Cannons during the afternoon were: Mrs. Wofford Layton of Roebuck, and Nick Mobley of Chester. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Beckom had their son, William Beckom of Greenwood as a guest the first part of the week. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Brawley attended a dinner in Lockhart last Sunday in honor of his moth er, Mrs. R. A. Brawley. She was celebrating her 80th birthday. Susan Adams of Laurens, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Caldwell. Sunday visitors of the Caldwells were Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Stroud and Dennis of Laurens, Mr. and Mrs. Verner Madden of Greenville, Mr. and Mrs. Dicky Watts and Dawn of Clinton. Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Crouch visited Mrs. Cora Boozer in the Kinards Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Puckett, Martha and Geraldine visited at Chimney Rock, N. C., Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Simpson of Marietta, Ga., spent the week end with his mother, Mrs. Ora Simpson and Mr. and Mrs. Pres ton White. On Sunday the Simp sons visited Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Poag. Mrs. Thelma Boawright and Mrs. Lessie Morgan, Mr. and Mrs. John Stagg and children of Laurens visited Mr. and Mrs. F. O. Holley in Pineville, N. C., Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Vaughn were called to Rachel, W. Va., last Wednesday due to the death of his father, Estus Vaughn. Mrs. Eckard Boyce, and Mrs. Ellen Brunson and son, Bobby, spent the week-end in Joanna with relatives and friends. They came especially to attend the wedding on Saturday of Mrs. Boyce’s granddaughter, M i as Jimmie Furr, in Clinton. ATTEND BANQUET Miss Nancy Hayes, Miss Jean Jennings, Miss Becky Merlock and Rev.
