Dale, of Greenwood, had as their guest recently their daughter, Mrs. James C. Grant of Camp LeJeune, N. C. Mrs. John Henniss and chil dren, Kathryn and Bruce, of Chattanooga, Tenn., visited sev eral days recently with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gilbert. Navy, who has been stationed in Saigon, has returned to Cali fornia following a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Hairston. He will go to Okinawa for further duty in Viet Nam. Misses Celia Gasque, Mary Harvey, students at Columbia College, were at home for the week-end. Miss Jean Arnold of Winthrop College, Rock Hill, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Arnold. RETURNED HOME FROM WARM SPRINGS, GEORGIA Joe Holcombe, son of Dr. and Mrs. Fred Holcombe, has re turned home having spent sev eral months in Warm Springs, Georgia, where he underwent treatment at Warm Springs Foundation. Miss Nancy Neighbors of Winthrop’College spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Neighbors. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Perry spent Sunday in Spartanburg visiting the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Nivens. T. M. Youngblood left Sunday for TaUahassee, Florida, where he has accepted a position with the public relations department of the Attorney General for the state of Florida. Mrs. D. J. Young of Florida is on an extended visit to Mrs. Tommy Youngblood, and grand children, Pam, Shaun, Karen, and Telia. Mrs. Sloan Todd and daugh ters spent the week-end at Windy Hill and visited relatives while there. Mr. and Mrs. Carl I. Chand ler returned home Friday from a visit with their son, Paul A. Chandler, in Hopewell, Va. While there they visited Wash ington, D. C., Arlington ceme tery and Mount Vernon. They were accompanied home by Mr. Chandler, who returned to Hopewell on Sunday. He was accompanied by Mrs. Chandler and little daughters, who had spent two weeks with her pa- rnets, Mr. and Mrs. Grady Wasson, in Laurens. Miss Sue Ullrick of Newber- ry^ College, Newberry, was the week-end guest of Mrs. Toy Woodruff. On Sunday Miss Ull rick accompanied Mrs. Wood ruff to Gilbert where they vis ited rleatives of the latter. Mrs. S. W. Sumerel has re turned to her home after spending several weeks with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Shook, in New Orleans, La. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Chand ler of Spartanburg, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Chandler of Columbia, visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grady Chandler, during the week-end. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Paul Muller and daughter, Beveriy, recently were Mrs. Muller’s niece, Mrs. Vernon Ashby, Mr. Ashby and sons, Steven and Ronald, of Frankfort, Ky. ATTENDING MEETING Mrs. P. W. Abner, Mrs. A. B. Davidson, and Miss Nellie Osborne will return today from Oak Ridge, Tenn., where they attended the Regional 111 Workshop of the Camp Fire organization for leaders. Mr. and Mrs. James R. Hor ton and son, John, of Chatham, N. J., are spending a few days with the former’s mother, Mrs. R. S. Horton, and other rela tives in this city. Mr. Horton is enroute to Biloxi, Miss., on business and while away Mrs. Horton and son will spend sev eral days with relatives in Lib erty. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Garst of Salem, Va., recently visited their daughter and son-in-law, Captain and Mrs. Joe S. Mar- pin and children. Mr.. and Mrs. Dick Lindsay and children, Ricky, Cathy, and Robert of Bennetts ville, spent the week-end with Mrs. Lindsay's mother, Mrs. R. S. Horton, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. C. D. A native of Barnwell County, in marriage, and Miss Carol McClellan of McClellanville and Lander College, served as maid of honor. Mr. Horton is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Horton of North Charleston. He chose his brother, Billy, who is a student at the Camden Military Acade my, Camden, as best man. Ushers were George E. Irwin, Jr., and Durward Stinson, both of Clemson College, and Gene Hodges of Sumter, and Michael Williams of Cross Hill. The bride’s dress was made of imported lace over taffeta. The bodice of the dress was overlaid with pearls. The dress flowed into a train. The bride carried a Bible covered with a yellow-throated orchid. Her maid of honor’s daytime length dress of blue peau de sole featured a jacket with short sleeves and a bell skirt. She carried a nosegay of pink carnations. Graduated from Clinton High School in 1962, the bride is a junior at Lander College, Greenwood. The groom graduated from Chicora High School in Charles ton Heights in 1961, attended Clemson College, and is pres ently employed at Davis and Floyd, Egineers, in Green wood. • * • DILLISHAW BIRTH Mr. and Mrs. Colie D. Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Gray and daughters, Frances and Margaret, visited the gardens in Charleston recently. son of Mrs. Agnes R. Harley of Barnwell and the late Gov. (1941- ’42) Joseph E. Harley, he was a graduate of Wofford Col lege and the University of South Carolina Law School. He practiced law in Barnwell from 1938 to 1942, then served in the Navy until 1945, when he moved to Laurens and opened a law office. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, the former Caroline Monteith: a son, Colin E. Harley of the USC School of Law; a daugh ter, Melinda Harley, student at USC; a brother, Joseph E. Har ley Jr., of Barnwell; and a sis ter, Mrs. Roberts S. Piper of Barnwell. Graveside services were con ducted Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in Laurens City Cemetery by Rev. Bryan Crenshaw and Rev. M. H.
