ed his post as executive com
mitteeman of Laurens City Ward

name be removed from the list
of the Laurens County delegates
to the state convention this week.
Cu'bertson, who has served four
years as executive committee
man of the ward, said the action
did not mean he is “bolting the
party.”
In the letter to Phinney, he
charged that in the local organ
ization of the party “a few seem
determined to continuously hold
office apparently for reasons not
wholly conducive to the realiza
tion of the purposes of the Dem
ocratic party.” Culbertson said
he did not intend to have any
part of meetings that are “cut
