Frank Walker, Johnnie and Mary Walker were Saturday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Walker in Laurens. Miss Effie W 7 alker, sister of Frank Walker, is a patient in the Hillcrest hos pital. The Walkers have visited there. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Culbertson of Greenville, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kitchen during the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Cooper and Miss Betty Cooper of Gerat Falls, were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Cooper. Mrs. Cooper remained for a visit with her son and family. Pete Cooper has re turned to The Citadel in Charles ton, after a few days visit with his parents between semseters. Mrs. Sloan Southerlin and Mrs. Paul Glenn of Greenville, were Saturday dinner guests of their sister, Mrs. Clyde Trammell, and Mr. Trammell. They also visited their mother, Mrs. J. H. Seay, a patient in the Newberry County hospital. Miss Feroline Seay, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Seay hnd the Trammells also visited Mrs. Seay during the week-«nd. Mrs. Kate Johnson left Friday evening for Aldington, Va., for a visit with relatives before going on to her home in Bradford, Pa. She has been here with her daughter and son-in-law, Rev. and Mrs. M. MOTHERS MARCH SET FOR FRIDAY The mothers March in the March of Dimes will be held in the L y d 4 a community Friday from 6:30 to 7:30 p. m. Everyone in the community is urged to contribute to help stamp out polio, birth defects and arth ritis. All workers will return to the Community Building following the march. Refreshments will be served by members of the Lydia Wom an’s Club after the march. LOCAL GIRL MODELS IN HAIR STYLE SHOW On Monday evening of last week. Miss Ruby Bircbmore modeled for Mrs. Virginia Wil son at a fashion show of the new spring hair fashions that was giv en by the NHCA for the Enoree Womans’ Club in Enoree.
