Edward Campbell, president of the board of driec- tors of the Clinton Council of Camp Fire Girls, crowned the new queen, Miss Virginia Rog ers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Rogers. Miss Rogers was selected from five contestants, each representing the various grous of Horizon Clubs. The other contestants included Miss Lyn Coleman, Miss Judy Abner, Miss Dianne Ledford, and Miss Linda White. During intermission, the girls and guests were invited for re freshments. To one end of the room a huge buffet table was placed and beautifully arrang ed with a white cloth and cen- by Mrs. Ray Anderson, the old est member, who rendered sev eral beautiful old hymns on an antique melodian. Following the program on "Objections of This the 90th Year of WCTU,” the meeting was adjourned with the mis- pah benediction. The hostesses, Mrs. Thoma son and Mrs. J. B. Dailey, served snadwiefees, chips, hot spiced tea and cookies. Todd, called the meeting to or der, and Mrs. J. B. Wilder gave the devotional, using as her subject “NOw Is the Time.” This was followed by scripture and prayer by Mrs. Wilder.
