Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Wilson spent Sunday in Abbeville, going especially to attend the wedding ibrMr. Wilson’s sister. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith visited with relatives in Greenwood on Christmas Day. Gary O’Shields of Clemson i College is spending the holidays with his mother, Mrs. W. T. i O’Shields. Mrs. W. T. O’Shields visited her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Lowes in Darl- nigton over the week-end. On Sunday they were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Allen Patterson sons of Calhoun Falls and Mr. and Mrs. John Abbott and daughters of Seneca. On Thursday Mr. and Mrs. James Craine and Mrs. Craine’s sisters, Mrs. Blanche Creswell, Mrs. Essie Simmons and Mrs. Sorrows enjoyed a pleasure trip to Hendersonville, N. C. Kathum Williams of Greenville spent the week-end with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Mr Williams.. Mrs. O. R. Rollins’, Harold Rol- ilns and Connie visited their son and brother and family, Rev. and Mrs. Robert Rollins in Rock ingham during Christmas.. Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Heaton and Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Heaton and daughters visited with Mr. and Mrs. Casper Floyd in Hart well, Ga., Sunday. On the return trip they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bryant in Ander son. Mrs. L. C. Heaton, Mrs. Sara Nell Heaton and Judy. Mrs. Wil liams. Wells and son, also Mrs. Barbara Norris of Joanna visit ed with Mr. and Mrs. Claude Floyd in Royston, Ga. Thursday. Miss Dottie Dees has returned to Greenville, Tenn., after spending the Christmas holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs BUI Dees. Mr. and Mrs. G.-H. Major and chUdren were Christmas Day guests of Mrs. Major’s parents in Calhoun Falls. On Sunday they visited Mrs. H. A. Major in Chester. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Sexton on Sunday. Mrs. C. J. Sexton, Elizabeth and Janet Price were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Thornton on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day they were-guests of Mrs. Sexton’s mother, Mrs. Jarrett and Mr. Jarrett in Anderson. Stroud spent Christmas Day in Colum bia with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Stroud. Mrs. Nellie Jones of Green ville and Mrs: S. P. Dye of Spar tanburg recently visited their sister and daughter, Mrs. David Owens and Mr. Owens. Mrs. Owens is ^confined to her home due to illness. Mrs. Geneva Coker of Green- e wood, visited her daughter, Mrs. Claude Wallenzine and Mr. Wal- lenzine during the Christmas holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Wallenzine of Greer visited the latter’s parents on Christmas Day. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lee and Donna visited their parents in Lockhart during the holidays. Mrs. Jennie Watkins was Christmas Day guest of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Downs. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Snelgrove and daughters had as their guests on Christmas Day, Mr., and Mrs. W. R. Strange and sons of Green wood and Mr. and Mrs. Ellen Harris of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Cox and Joel visited Mrs. Cox’s parents, Mr. and Mrs- C. E. Vinson, on Christmas' Eve and on Christ mas Day were guests of Mr. Cox’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Cox, all in Seneca. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Stewart of Fairbanks, Alaska, celebrated their first wedding anniversary i December 26th. BLUE BIRD CHRISTMAS PARTY The third grade Blue Birds met on December 18th at the Com munity Building for their Christ mas party. Games, singing car ols and exchanging gifts were the highlights of the occasion. Refreshments of punch chips, sandwiches, cookies and candy were served. Each girl had made jewel boxes for their mothers’ gifts and the leaders. Mrs. Paul ine Proffitt and Mrs. Jeanette Starnes presented each girl with a gift.
