Abercrombie and Buddy were in Charlotte, N. C., Satur day for the Shrine Bowl football game, Later they were supper guests of Mr. Sanders brother, Mr. Harvey Sanders and Mrs. Sanders in Charlotl. Mrs. Billy Cooper and Sandy will leave during the week-end to join their husband and father in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he is stationed. Mr. Cor dell Sanders will accompany his daughter to New Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Kelly and children of Gaffney spent Sun day with his mother, Mrs. Ike Jones and Mr. Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Herring and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Smith and family of Grenwood were re cent guests of Mr. Smith’s par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Smith. Ronnie and Joe Smith Jr., accom- , panied their parents home after spending a few days here with their grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gaines left Thursday of last week to make their home in Rhode Is land.- Mr. Gaines is the former Paula Shelnut. Mr and Mrs. Claude Willard and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Willard attended the funeral last week of t h e former’s brother-in-law, Broadus Cothran, at Princeton. Danny South and Mrs. Mark Connor spent the week-end with relatives.in Whitmire. Mrs. firman Fisher and sons and Mrs: ^ Ray Simpson of Caro- lene, N. C., were recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Reece. Mr. Waters King of Nashville, Tenn., has been spending several days with his mother, Mrs. Hen ry King and other relatives.. Mr. and Mrs. Claud Willard were business visitors in Green wood last week. Gary Sprouse ICFN, USN, of Charleston spent the week-end with Mrs. Sprouse and son and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Sprouse. Mrs. John Heath of Greenville spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs. J. H. Seay. Mr. Heath joined her Sunday to ac company her home. Mrs. Paul Glenn Keith and Deidre of Green ville visited Sunday afternoon with Mrs.- Seay and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Trammell. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Gaskins spent a few days last week in At lanta, Ga., Mrs. Mildred Jackson of Rock Hill, sister of Mr. Gaskin was here with the Gaskin chil dren, while they were away. Among those in Charlotte, N. C., for the Shrine Bowl game on Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gilstrap, Nathan Gil- mire is leader of the group. BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR JIM Mrs. Jimmie E. Gregory en tertained Saturday afternoon with a party in honor of her son Jim mie Jr.’s birthday. A large number of little friends were present for the happy oc casion. The beautiful birthday cake was cut and served with other party refreshments to the guests. Jimmy was presented many nice gifts for his birthday. MISSION PROGRAMS There will be a Foreign Mis sion program and Lottie Christmas offering at the Lydia Baptist Church tonight (Thurs day) at 7:30 pjn., and Friday at 1 p.m. All ladies of the church are invited to attend. CHRISTMAS PARTY The annual Christmas party, when Santa comes to ot the Sunday School children from the nursery through the junior departments, will be held on Wednesday night at the Lydia Baptist Church at 7:30 p.m. CHRISTMAS PROGRAM The Lydia Baptist Church Christmas program will be in the form of a candlelight service and will be presented Sunday evening Dec. 22 at 7:30 p.m. LADIES AUXILIARY PARTY The Ladies Auxiliary of the Ly dia Pentecostal Holiness Church have invited their husbands to their Christmas party to be held at the Lydia Community Build ing on Saturday evening at 8 p.m. BUILDING DECORATED The Lydia Community Building is again this year pulling on its annual Christmas attire.
