Johnnie Teague spent the holi days in Durham, N, C., with his sister, Mrs. Thomas Bradford Philip Pruitt of Jacksonville, Fla., spent the Thanksgiving holidays with his mother, Mrs. Inez Pruitt. Mrs. Pruitt, who re cently lost her mother, stayed in Olanta for the holidays with her father, Tom Chandler. Mrs. Hugh Ray and Mrs. John Roseboro spent Friday and Sat urday in Gastonia, N. C., with the latter’s sister, Mrs. Everett Carson, Mr. Carson and John Little Carson. Mr. and Mrs. Benny Phillips and small daughter, Lynn, of Raleigh, N. C.., spent the Thanks giving holidays with Mrs. Phil lips’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Ray. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Davis and daughter, Elizabeth, of Charles ton spent Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Watts Davis. They were accompanied home for the week-end by Dixie Davis for a deer hunt. IN SELF MEMORIAL Friends of Mrs. R. J. Cope land will regret to know she is a patient at Self Memorial Hospi tal, Greenwood, where she un derwent surgery following a broken hip injury. Mrs. Glenn B. Reeves and son, Davis, of Waco, Texas arrived Sunday for a month’s visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Davis V. Pitts. Mr. and Mrs. Pitts and Mr. and Mrs. John Lay of Ware Shoals were In Atlanta, Ga., to meet her when she arrived by plane. Lt. Col. and Mrs. F. V. Smith spent Thanksgiving in Charleston with their son, Cadet Ty Smith, a student at The Citadel. They were accompanied by Miss Patsy Simmons. OHIO GUESTS ENTERTAINED Mr. and Mrs.. Lewis Lawson of Dayton, Ohio have been visit ing the former’s sister, Mrs. Betty Lawson and brother, Vic tor Lawson and other relatives in the area. Friday evening the Lawsons, Mr. and Mrs. Brooks Dunaway, LeJune Dunaway were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Allen young in the Hurricane community. Milton Moore of Wofford Col lege, Spartanburg, spent the Thanksgiving holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Moore. BUly Glenn has returned to his studies at Clemson College after spending the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Glenn. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Rumph of Savannah, Ga., visited friends here during the Thanksgiving holidays.. Mrs. George Lane of Decatur, Ga., spent the Thanksgiving hol idays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Staton. Mr. Lane was here for the week-end and ac companied her home. Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Jimmie Young, student at the Medical College of South Caro lina, and Miss Leanna Young, member of the faculty at Erskine College, Due West spent the holi days with their parents, Mr., and Mrs. J. Leland Young. Visiting Mrs. P. M. Pitts dur ing the Thanksgiving holidays were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas G. Pitts, Lynchburg, Va., Mr. and Msr. P. Mark Pitts and sons of Aiken and Ed Pitts of Columbia. On Friday Dr. and Mrs. C. H.. Magruder and sons of Greenwood were guests of Mrs. Pitts. Mr. and Mrs. J. Allen Suddeth and sons of Bethesda, Md., visit ed the former's mother, Mrs. B. H. Suddeth during the holiday weekend. Lt. Col. W. G. King, Jr„ of Marietta, Ga., spent Thanksgiv ing Day with Mrs. King and family. Windy, have returned from a vacation stay in Florida. While away they camped at GoM Head Branch State Park and the Fort Clinch State Park in Flori da. Mrs. Austin Chandler returned Saturday after spending two weeks with bur son James Austin Chandler and Mrs. Chandler in Atlanta, Ga.. She went especially ot attend the installation of her son as deacon in the Rock Springs Church on Nov. 24. Mrs. Blakely Tribble is home after spending some time in the Anderson Memorial Hospital. Payne, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Hollis and children spent the holiday week-end at Bunker Hill Air Force Base in Indiana. They were Joined there by Horace Payne Jr., who accompanied them home before returning to St. Andrews Pres byterian College in Laurinburg, N. C. While there they attended the GeorgUuGa. Tech game on Saturday after noon. Miss Janet Johnson, student at Winthrop CoUege, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Johnson, over the holiday week-end. Mrs. Irby Hipp Sr., is spend ing the week in Rock Hm with her daughter, Mrs. Gene Avery and family, and son Irby Hlpp and family.
