Mrs. Sprouse and son, Mr. Ben Sprouse and Mrs. Charles O’Bryant and son met Seaman Sprouse when the ship docked Saturday after a five months Mediterranean cruise. HOLLOWEENi CARNIVAL A Halloween Carnival, spon sored by the Lydia Woman’s Club will be held at Providence School tonight (Thursday) with the doors opening at 6 p.m. A A judging of costumes will be one of the features. HOLLOWEEN CARNNIVAL The Lydia Methodist Young People will sponsor a Halloween Carnival Saturday evening at the church beginning at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. Niles & Templeton Laurens — Niles Gorman Tem pleton, 71 of Rt. 2, Laurens, died Wednesday afternoon at his home after an extended illness. A native of Laurens County, son of the late Kemper and Vo- renna McGowan Templeton, he was a member of Dunean Bap tist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs, Ruth Madden Templeton; sev en daughters, Mrs. Roy W. Moore, Mrs. W. W. Smart and Mrs. Katherine Moore of Lau rens, Mrs. W. L. Nash, Mrs. Mary Ruth Taylor, Mrs. M. L. Grubbs and Mrs. W. I. Henson o f Greenville; two brothers, James Templeton of Detroit, Mich., and Darrell Templeton of New London, Conn.; three sisters, Mrs. Amanda Bennett and Miss Irvane Templeton of Asheville, N. C. f and Mrs. Ella Andrews of Detorit, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were con ducted at Kennedy Mortuary at 3 p.m. Friday by Rev. Eddie Crapps and Rev. Ray Craine. Burial was in Forest Lawn Ceme tery.
