Drummond, Christmas Seal campaign; Dr. Robert S. Cooper, health Educa tion; Rev. Frank L. Roof, legis lative; Henry M. Paris, long range planning; Dr. W. P. Tink ler, medical advisory; Mrs. V. W. Hayes, patient services; and Madison W. Breland, speakers bureau. Members will hear highlights of conferences attended by Mrs. Anne O. Taylor, Institute on Problems of Tuberculosis Con trol; G. N. Foy and Mrs. V. W. Hayes, SCTA directors meeting; Rev. James A. Bowers, Southern Tuberculosis Conference; and Mrs. M. M. Teague, Internation al Union Against Tuberculosis. Henry M. Paris, presidentr elect, will discuss possible re organization patterns to further increase the efficiency and effec tiveness of the association. Mrs. Richard F. Eshleman and Mrs. W. W. Since 1929 Lewis M. Bailey, of Spartan burg, sales representative for Eli Lilly and Company, pharmaceu tical firm, for many years, retir ed on Sept. 30. He had been on medical leave of absence for the past year. Bailey, who joined the Lilly Company in 1929, is a native of Clinton. He is a son of Mrs. T. L. W. Bailey and the late Dr. Bailey, well known Clinton phy sician during the early years of the century. He attended the Clinton schools, Clemson College, and is a graduate of the School of Pharmacy of the South Caro lina Medical College in Charles ton. He is registered as a pharma cist in South Carolina and is a member of the S. C. and Pied mont Pharmaceutical Associa tions. Bailey married the former Frances Witherspoon of Clinton and they have two daughters. Frank B. Power Laurens—Frank Burns Power, 90, of 33 Swygert Ave., died at 7:20 p. m., Saturday, at a local hospital after a sudden illness. He was a son of the late James L. and Kitty Burns Howard. He was a veteran of World War II and was a timekeeper for Daniel Construction Co. Surviving are two brothers, Al bert Power of Griffin, Ga., and John B. Power of Greenville; three sisters, Mrs. B. J. Cox of Laurens; Mrs. H. B. Monroe of Laurens; and Mrs. W. C. Cox of Arcadia. Funeral services were held at 11 o’clock Monday morning at the Kennedy Mortuary chapel, with James C. Cox in charge. Burial was in Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church cemetery. Jolin A. Todd Gray Court—John Ala Todd, 79, retired farmer of Route 1, Gray Court, died at 12:30 p. m. He was a vet eran of World War n, having served in the Navy, and was a construction engineer. He had lived in Detroit, Mich., and Jack- sonvillas-Pla., before moving to Upper Marlboro.
