Bannister, Sunday. Mr. Bannister is a patient in Self Memorial hospital in Greenwood. Miss Nancy Chapman of Pen- delton, is visiting Mrs. Mildred i Brannon and sons for a few days. Henry Lewis Nabors and Ronald of Atlanta, Ga., visited the Bransons Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Scogin visited Mrs. Scogin’s brother, Lawrence Herring, Sunday in Self Memorial hospital, Green wood. Rev. and Mrs. C. E. Russell were called to Kentucky last week dut to the serious illness of his father, J. G. Russell. Mr. Russell died Wednesday. Funeral services were held Friday at the Rose chapel in Knoxville, Term., and burial was in the Highland Memorial cemetery. The R. A. Boys of Hurricane Church attended R. A. Day of Prayer at Furman University l Saturday. The boys also attend- ted the Furman football game Saturday night. The Young Adult Class of Hur ricane Church will meet at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil I Scogin Thursday (tonight) 8 p.m. Hurricane Church will elct a [new deacon Sunday, Sept. 22nd.
