Floyd, ACS, of the Naval Air SUtion, Argentia, Newfoundland, viylted his pa rents, Mr, and Mrs. Norman Floyd, last Sunday enroute to Brunswick, Ga., for two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Lawmon, Sr., Mr .and Mrs. Danny Bous- lay, Mrs. Marlene Thomas and children, Mrs. Jo Nell Honeycutt and children, Mr. and Mrs. John ny Lowman, Jr., and son of Greenwood, attended the Low- man family reunion at White Rock last Sunday. Miss Betty Stroud and Mary Beth Stroud joined Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Brannon of Chappells and spent last week-end in Ft. Wayne, Ind., with Mr. and Mrs. Ray mond Leopard. Mrs. Boyce Bowen is visiting Mr. Bowen in Chicago, 111., for several weeks. ’ * Mr. and Mrs. Frank Phillips spent several days with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Phillips, in Charlotte, N. C., last week. Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Mason have returned home after a several weeks visit with relatives in Me ridian, Miss., and with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bolter and children in Pensacola, Fla. Mrs. BUI Dyches and daughters of Lugoff, were week-end visitors of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Phillips. Little Beth and Gaye Dyches remained for a few days visit with their grandpa rents. Mrs. J. L. Howard of Atlanta, Ga., spent the week-end with her sisetr, Mrs. E. J. Willingham, and attended the WUlingham re union on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. George Morse, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hall spent Labor Day Week-end in Fort Meade, Md., with S-Sgt. and Mrs. W. L. Moore. Valarie Morse ac companied them and remained for an extended visit. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Prater and Ralph spent last week-end in Batesburg visiting relatives. spent the week-end in Blowing Rock, N. q. Mr. and Mrs. Louie Nabors and Karen spent Labor Day at Pawleys Island. Mr. and Mrs. George Morse and Mrs. Alma Morse were Sun day visitors of his aunts, Mrs. Pat McCarty in Ward and Mrs. Matt Elston in Saluda. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Atkins, Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Rushton and Mike enjoyed last week-end at Ocean Drive Beach. HAS BIRTHDAY PARTY Mary Beth Stroud was honored with a birthday party Saturday afternoon at her home in Joanna Heights. Twenty-two of her friends were present for an af ternoon of fun and games. The birthday cake was decorated in pink and white and held nine candles. Refreshments of cake and iced drinks were served by her moth er, Mrs. Johnny Stroud, assisted by Mrs. Toni Williams and Mrs. Janice Stroud. Mrs. Connie Davis and Vivian Ann of Cross Hill, were among the party guests. Mary Beth was nine years old September 11. WILLINGHAM REUNION The descendants of John H. and Annie Purdy WUlingham held their annual family reunion at the Joanna Club House Sun day, September 8, with 84 mem bers and invited guests present for the occasion. Dinner was served at 1 o'clock. CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY Colette Floyd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Floyd, cele brated her ninth birthday with a party at her home on Milton Road Wednesday, Sept. 4. Fifteen of her friends were present to enjoy music, games and dancing. The birthday cake was decorat ed in pink and white and held nine pink candles. Refreshments of sandwiches, nuts, chips, cake and iced drinks were served by Mrs. Floyd, as sisted by Miss Betsy Wertz of Newberry.
