attending the Senior Assembly
of the Methodist Church.

lips spent several days last
week in Hardensburg, Ky., with
Mr. and Mrs. G. V. Adair.

and Don visited James Ruff at
the Columbia hospital, Colum
bia, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Phillips
and sons of Charlotte, N. C.,
are vistiing his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Phillips for a
few days.

of Laurens, were Sunday visi

Dickie spent several days last
week in Rembert with Dr. and
Mrs. T. M. Moore. Johnnie
Moore, Sr., joined them for
the week-end and return trip

will have a chicken dinner Sat
urday, August 24, at the Jo
anna club house. Prices will be
$1.25 for a half chicken, and 75c
for a fourth, with French fries,
cole slaw, cake and bread.

held at the First Baptist
Church Sunday, August 25. Sun
day school opening assembly
programs will follow the back-
to-school theme and the evening
service will be given by stu
dents, followed by a covered
dish supper for all junior high,
high school and college stu
dents in the recreation room.

home after a stay of several days
in Bailey Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Ruth Stokes. They were
joined on Sunday for lunch by

underwent surgery at Self Memo
rial Hospital. She is now at
home and recuperating nicely.
