Hogan and children, Teresa, Frances, and Billy have returned from a vaca tion stay at Pawleys Island. They were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kinder and children Debbie and Sherry of Logans Port, Ind. ATTEND CONVENTION Mrs. ^Brunson Asbill and Miss Carolyn Asbill attended the South Carolina Florists’ conven- tion at the Wade Hampton Hotel in Columbia on August 7th and 8th. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Horton and Bill Horne spent the week-end at Mount Pleasant as guests of Mrs. Jack Seabrook and Miss Sarah Ann Seabrook. SUDDETH CONVALESCING Friends of Noland Suddeth will be interested to know he is con valescing at the Medical College Hospital in Charleston following eye surgery. Mrs. Suddeth is in Charleston with him. Mrs. Everett C. Carson of Gas tonia, N. C., spent last Wednes day with her sister, Mrs. John Roseboro, and Mr. Roseboro. Mrs. G. A. Burton spent last week in Charleston with her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Henry Burton. Mrs. Ace Workman has return ed from a visit with her daugh ter, Mrs. R. B. Hellams, Jr., at Mt. Pleasant, while Mr. Hellams attended summer camp. Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Ballard and Billy Ballard attended the Ballard family reunion in Elloree during the week-end and visited other relatives. Mrs. L. S. Holland of Atlanta, Ga., is spending some time visit ing relatives and friends here. Young, Jr., has been transferred from Ft. Lee, Va., to Ft. Sam Houston, Texas, where he will begin specialty training in Opthalmology at Brooke General Hospital, for the next, three years. Capt. and Mrs. Young and children are vis iting his mother, Mrs. Young, Sr., before going to Texas. Mr. and Mrs. James R. Hitt and family of Crete, 111., will ar rive this week-end for an extend ed visit with the former’s mother, Mrs. Eugene Hitt. Mrs. P. M. Pitts. Hugh Jacobs and children, Edna and Hugh, re cently toured points of interest in Virginia, Washington, D. C., and New York City. Enroute home they visited relatives in Rock Hill where Edna remained for a long er stay. ON TEXAS TRIP Mrs. G. C. Murphy and son, Gerard, of Charlottesville, Va., arrived Friday for a visit with her parents, Col. and Mrs. L. D. Lott. On Monday Mrs. Lott, Mrs. Murphy and Gerard and Kathy Lott left for a two weeks visit with their daughter and sister, Mrs. Robert Brewer, and family in Texas. They will also visit their mother and grandmother, Mrs. Alice Dixon, and family in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Chaney vis ited their daughter, Mrs. T. C. Childress, and Mr. Childress in Dalzell during the week-end. Mrs. M. R. Prosser of Heming way, spent the week-end with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gore. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Bryant and children, Lee and Betsy, of Rich mond, Va., Mrs. J. C. Mixon and children, Phylis and David, spent the weekend in Loris visit ing relatives and friends. Mrs. Walter Jones of Blacks burg is visiting her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Milford Smith and family. BIr. Jones is a patient at the Veterans Hospi tal in Columbia and is scheduled for surgery this week. Mr. and Mrs. Don Creighton and daughter, Kathy spent the past week in LaFayette, Ga. visiting the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grady Wheeler. Their son, Jim Creighton, who had been visiting his grandparents for several weeks accompanied them home on Friday.
