(Shorty) Roches ter. 75. died early* Friday mor ning at a local hospital after two years of declining health and four weeks of illhess. He was a native of Union Coun ty, but had lived in Clinton 96 years. He was a son of the late Richard G. and Lula Eubanks Rochester. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lillian Shockley Rochester; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby March-! banks and Miss Mary Lou Ro chester, both of Clinton; and Mrs. Helen Godfrey of Rt. 1. Laurens; a brother, Minter B. Rochester of Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Josie Black of Union; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were conduct ed Sunday at 3:00 p. m. at Cal vary Baptist Church by Rev. J. Spilers a W, Spilers and Rev. Stephens. Burial was mont cemetery. Jesse D. in Rose- J. F. Taylor Laurens—John Franklin (Bub) Taylor, 51, of 320 S. Harper St. died in a Clinton hospital after a lifelong illness and a serious illness of a month. *. 1 He was a native of Laurens County, a son of Mrs. Madge Medlock Taylor and the late John Arthur Taylor. He was a mem ber of the Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his mother, are a brother, Wa^ey Taylor of Laurens; and four sis ters, Mrs. R. A. Martin of Laur ens. Mrs. Harry Bergh of Evans ton, HI., Mrs. George Philpott of Bassitt, Va., and Mrs. Charles Williams of Columbia.- 9 Funeral services were conduct ed at Kennedy Mortuary Chapel Monday at 2:30 p. m. by Dr. Robert S. Cooper and Rev. J. H. Martin.
