Thursday night at fair grounds
in Laurens and enjoyed a barbe
cue supper prepared by Walter
Lynch of Mountville.
After the supper, Dr. R. C. Ed
wards, president of Clemson Col
lege, spoke to the group on educa
tion.

ion at the Hurricane Community
Building on Sunday, October 7.

ASSEMBLY OF GOD
The Joanna Assembly of God
Church began its fall revival on
Wednesday night, October 17, at
7:00. The Rev, J. C. Hunnicutt of
Columbia, is the visiting minis
ter. Everyone is invited to at
tend these services.
JOANNA PTA MEETING
The Joanna Parent-Teacher As
sociation will meet on Monday
night, October 27, at 7:00 in the
school lunch room. All parents
and teachers are invited to attend
this meeting.

held their annual reunion at the

Mrs. Vance Finley presented a
program on “Flowers in Flori
da.’’ She told of the culture and
growth of chrysanthemums and
gladioli, their purposes, packing
and shipping. She illustrated her
talk with pictures.
