He was graduated from Johnston High School Newberry College and Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia. Mrs. William Repko, Bishop's Fund chairman, gave a report on committee’s progress. Bish op’s Fund proceeds are uaed for the summer camp for the child ren of this diocese. Mrs. Rufus Sadler asked for help with work being done at Whitten Village. Scout leaders are particularly needed. The president also asked for a good representation on October 10th at the Deanery Meeting which is being held in Gaffney. A program was given by Mrs. C. W. Hogan on the convening 2nd Vatican Council giving an outline of the main agenda items and Stating the purpose of the council. Refreshments were enjoyed up on adjournment ol the meeting. A wedding of quiet dignity, simplicity and loveliness was that of Miss Judith Ann Adair and William Bryant Roberts, which was solemnized Sunday afternoon September 16, at the Northside i Baptist Church in Orangeburg. The chancel and altar of the church were decorated with white chrysanthemums and gladioli against a background of palms. Rev. M. A. Hutto, pastor of the bride, officiated at the im pressive double ring ceremony j> Bryon Wiles, organist, and Mrs. Lewis Wiles, soloist, both of Orangeburg, rendered a program of wedding music prior to and during the ceremony. Mrs. Wiles sang "Oh. Perfect Love,” and for the benediction she sang, "The Wedding Prayer." The bride and groom entered the sanctuary togeether. The bride wore a wedding gown of white silk organza and lad over poie-de-soie. Her street-length full skirt of silk organza was styled with soft flowing pleats aid fea tured a fitted Venice lace bodice with a bateau neckline and long tapered slee\es. Her short veil of imported bridal illusion was held in place by a crown of seed pearls and she carried a white Bible topped with a white orchid and Talk By T. M. Urns, a great part of the money the Bell System received from its customers weiri out to beta thousands of small businesses. The inter ests of small business and the Bell System are in tertwined. Each has a big stake in the growth and economy of the other. Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority Meets at Mary Musgrove Clinton and Laurens Members were hostesses at a luncheon meeting of Epsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, honorary teachers’ sorority, Saturday at the Mary Musgrove Hotel. Mrs. Hester Medlen, state pres ident of the organization, was guest speaker. ‘ Discussing the topic, "The Meaning of the Heri tage of Delta Kappa Gamma," Mrs. Medlen paid tribute to the national and state founders of the society. She challenged the mem bers of the society to help solve the educational problems of today by developing students prepared to accept frustrations and loyal to country and to the pursuit of truth Mrs. Bernice Shouse, president of the bride.
