H Southhall leave Saturday for a vacation trip to Petersburg, Va., where they will visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Southhall, after which they will go to Florida to visit her sister, Mrs. J. C. McNalley at Madison, their daughter, Mrs. D. G. Walden, Mr. Walden and children in Orlando. Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Gibson of Mount Zion and Mrs. O. O. Cope land of Newberry were guests several days last week of their sisiter, Mrs. W. C. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Blakely and daughters, Allison and Su san, will return today to their home in Washington, D. C. after spending a few days here with his mother, Mrs. J. B. Speake. His family will remain hoe for a few weeks. IN HOSPITAL Friends of Mrs. William Davis will he interested to know she is improving at the General Hos pital, Greenville, following sur gery there on Monday and ex pects to return home on Satur day. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth N. Bak er joined friends for a vacation stay last week at Pawley’s NEW RESIDENTS Mr. and Mrs. John H. Fulmer and children, Johnny, Mary Edith and Bobbie, formerly of Tamassee, have moved to Clin ton and are residing at 100 Lib erty Street. Mr. Fulmer will be principal of Clinton Junior High School. Friends of O. F. McIntosh will be glad to know he was able to re turn to his home on South Wood- row Street yesterday after an op eration illness and stay at Self Memorial Hospital, Greenwood. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth N. Bak er spent Monday in Concord, N. C., with their daughter. Miss Ann Baker. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Hamilton and son, Phil, have returned from a two weeks vacation trip. While away they visited their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton in Washington, D. C., going especially to hear his piano concert' at Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Md. They were guests of relatives and friends in South Bend Indiana and also visited Mr. Hamilton’s mother in Peoria, 111. Mrs. Tom Addison has been spending some time in Columbia with her mother, Mrs. H. H. Har ris, because of the serious illness of her grandmother, Mrs. Ade laide Murray. Miss Murray Addi son has been attending summer school at Dreher High School. Darrell Franks of Asheville, N C., spent several days with his mother, Mrs. J. P. Prather, and Mr. Prather during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stanley and children, Walter and Susan of Hartsville, are spending the week with Mrs. Stanleys parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Neighbors.
