Guests included high school and college classmates of the honoree who was surprised with a shower of gifts. Covers were laid for twelve at the luncheon table prettily ap pointed in yellow and white. An antique cut glass container held the central floral arrangement. Miss Gray Feted By Miss Gettys Honoring Miss Julia Gray, Miss Jean Gettys entertained a small group of friends informal ly at luncheon on Monday, June 11. Miss Gray will be married on June SO to Herbert Hammett of Hogansville, Ga. Guests were seated at the din ing table where bridal motif place cards were used and a three course luncheon served. A low bowl of gardenias and pink roses centered the table. As sisting the hostess was her moth er, Mrs. Joseph M. Gettys. Miss Gray was remembered with a gift of china in her wed ding pattern. Joint Hostesses Honor Miss Corley An informal party on Satur day morning honored Miss Linda Corley, June bride-elect of James William Harris of Laurens. Campbell, 2165 S. Park way Dr., became the bride of Mr. Michael Stewart Guy, son of Mrs. G. Hall Guy of Mansfield and Mr. G. H. Guy of Tampa. The bridal aisle and chancel were lighted by candles garlanded in greenery and white roses. Dr. Raymond Kearns performed the ceremony. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of candelight peau de sole de signed on classic lines. Alencon lace motifs embroidered with crystals and sprays of seed pearls, enhanced the bodice and front of the bell-shaped skirt. The chapel train flowed from the em pire back, accented with a Ba- goda rose. Her bouffant veil of illusion fell from a circlet of rose buds entwined with sprays of seed pearls and she carried a French bouquet of lily-of-the; valley and white roses. Mrs. James L. Switzer of Un ion served as matron of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Mar tha B. Park, Miss Elisabeth Anne Stedem, Mrs. Barnard F. Jones, Mrs. John Conkling of Golden, N. Y., and Miss Mary Bailey Vance of Clinton, who served as Junior bridesmaid. The attendants wore identical gowns of avenue green chiffon over taffeta with shirred midriffs. They wore matching lattice top pillboxes with circular veils and carried French bouquets of yel low sweetheart roses and ivy. John C. Guy of Manhattan Beach, Calif., served as best man and ushers included Richard Guy, also of Manhattan Beach, Oliver Henkel, Jr., and Phillip Norman of Mansfield, John Ruhl of Evanston, 111. and Don Camp bell. A reception at the Scioto Coun try Club followed the ceremony. The bride is a graduate of Colby Junior College, New Lon don, N. Whitaker. The bride was given mar riage by her father. Her wed ding gown of silk organza and Chantilly lace was fashioned with lace bodice and scalloped, rounded neckline. She carried a white Bible centered with a white orchid. Miss Judith Rogers of Bristol, Pa., cousin of the bride was maid of honor. The guests were greeted at the door by Little Miss Glennie Tins ley. Glennie pinned a small floral corsage on each guest. Mrs. Tallie Cropps led the group in a number of appropri ate contests. The guests were in vited to the refreshment table by Mrs. N. A. Shouse. Tbs table was decorated with a centerpiece of magnolia and tapers. Mrs. Howard Stanley presided at the punch bowl and Mrs. J. Mr Fulmer is a graduate of Newberry College and received his MA degree in Education from Ctomson College in 1957 He is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Walhalla. a former member of the Calhoun Falls Lion's Club and a former teacher of the Ladies Bible Class of the Calhoun Fails Methodist Church, a former member of the official board and church lay leader while living In Calhoun Falls. He is the son of Mrs V. L. Fulmer and the late Rev, V. L. Fulmer, a Lutheran minister. He is married to the former Vivian Hubbard of Seneca and they have three children. George Tolbert Fosses In Virginio Word has been received that the Rev. George B. Talbert, son of Mrs. Cassie Oliver Talbert and the late Mr. Talbert died Thursday of last week.
