SHOUSE, Correspondent PARTICIPATE IN 4-H ACHIEVEMENT DAY Saturday, May 28, Lynn Keller Nabors and Judy Davenport en tered projects in the Achievement Day of 4-H, at Laurens County Agricultural Building. Lynn en tered a skirt and blouse and Judy a cake. To be eligible 4-H mem bers had received a blue ribbon in local club. Brenda Gibbs won a blue ribbon on her project, a blouse, but did not attend Achievement Day. Lynn Nabors took part in the Dress Review on Tuesday night George Cobb spent the weekend with Mrs. Cobb and childern at home of Mr. and Mrs. David Pitts. A number in the community attended Clinton High School commencement Monday night. May 28. Six members of the Sen ior class were from Bonds Cross Road community. The Shady Grove Home De monstration Club will meet Tues day at 3:80 at the dub house. FARM WOMEN MEET Executive Board of Laurens County Farm Women met Wed. afternoon, May 80, in Laurens County Agriculture Building. James A. Bowers, presi dent of the local association. Those attending include Mr. and Mrs. James A. Bowers, Mr. and Mrs. Henry M. Farts, and Dr and Mrs. Martin M. Teague. Mr. Bowers is a director of the South Carolina Tuberculosis As sociation and also of the Nation al Tuberc u 1 o s i s Association, Mrs. Bowers will serve on the reception committee since Sooth Carolina is one of the host states. -— - — • Henry M. Faris, president elect of the local association, is a member of the state board of directors and was recently elected to the executive commit tee.
