Mr. and Mrs. Harold Clardy and son of Greenville spent the weekend with Mrs. Clardy’s par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Aber crombie. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Simmons of near Greer and Mr. and Mrs. Junior Thomas and family of Greenville spent Easter Sunday with the Mesdames Simmons and Thomas’ mother, Mrs. Emmie Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. David R. Coker and Marvin were Sunday dinner guests of the former’s parents, Rev. and Mrs. James Coker on the Greenwood Highway. Miss Janice Goss of Winthrop College, Rock Hill, spent the Easter Holidays with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Goss. Byrus Cauble who has just re turned to the states after 3 years with the U. S. Air force in Eng land, visited his father, James Cauhle and his aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Fuller and Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Cauble during the weekend. He is now stationed in Savannah, Ga. Sam Cauble of Anderson visited his brothers and sister on Sunday. Kenneth Trammell, H.A., re ported for duty at the Naval Hos- Easter holidays from Winthrop College, Rack Hill. Whitmire was call ed to Ware Shoals, Friday be cause of the sudden death of her brother-in-law, Henry Davis. She remained with her sister until Saturday evening. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Whitmire and Rog er and Mr. and Mrs. Allen White attended the funeral services. Mr. and Mrs. William Flowers and family of Laurens with their guest, C. F. Kennedy of Colum bia, visited Mr. Kennedy’s sis ters, Mrs. Mary Martin and Mrs. H. H. Dalton on Wednesday and Saturday. On Sunday the Flow ers, Mr. Kennedy, Mrs. Martin and daughters, Misses Betty, Joyce and Shirley were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs Dalton. Visiting the Dalton’s in the afternoon were Mr. and Mrs Charles Dalton of Calhoun Falls and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Wil banks of near Clinton. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Bailey and son of Spartanburg spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Jack White. Navy and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Seay and family attended a birthday din ner for Mrs. J. H. Seay, mother of Mrs. Trammell and Mr. Seay held at the Paul Glenn farm near Fountain Inn. Miss CeciJa McLendon was home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McLendon, for the daughter. Bandy, will continue their resktote* hare. WEINER ROAST BET FOR SATURDAY The Intermediate Training Union Department of the Lydia Baptist Church will have a weiner roast Saturday afternoon. The grow will meet at the church at 5 p.m. Mr. Houston Ellis is the de partment leader. Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Gilstrap and daughter, Debra Jean of Greenville spent Sunday after noon with Mr. Gilstraps parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gilstrap. Miss Claudette Parrish has re turned to Wishington, D. C. after visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Parrish. On Satur day, Mr. and Mrs. Cart John son and family of Rock Hill were supper guests of the Parrishes, Mrs. Johnson’s parents. They al so visited Mr. Johson’s mother, Mrs. W. E. Johnson and sister, Miss Mary Johnson. Mrs. Bob Franklin of Union spent the Easter weekend with her daughter, Mrs. Wade Penn ington and Mr. Pennington. Rock Bailey and Mack Gaf fney of Clemson College spent the Easter holidays with their par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bailey and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gaf fney. Mr. and Mrs. Billy Brown and sons of Greenwood, spent sever al days last week with her moth er, Mrs. L. E. Culbertson and sister, and Mrs. Jean Harris, so they could be with Mr. Culbert son who has been seriously ill at Blalock Clinic. Friends will be glad to know he is recuperath at his home, having returned there Tuesday. PENTECOSTAL REVIVAL CONTINUES The Simultaneous Revival con tinues throughout this week at the Pentecostal Holiness Church. Services begin at 7:30 p.m. each evening. The public is ex tended an invitation to attend. MISS ESTES WED TO MR. BLACK Friday evening, April 20 at 7 p.m., Miss Linda Earline Estes became the bride of Joseph Tony Black at the Bellview Baptist Church parsonage, with the Rev. J. B. Abercrombie performing the double ring ceremony. The bride chose an egg shell white suit, complemented with black and white accessories for her wedding. Her corsage was of white carnations. She is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Estes. Mr. Black, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Black Jr. is in the U. S. Navy, stationed aboard the USS Intrepid, CVS, with the home port at Norfolk, Va. Mrs. Black will reside with her husband’s grandmother, Mrs. Tom Burnett while he is com pleting his tour of duty. MR. Easter Egg Baal For Primaries The Lydia Baptist Primary De partment of the Sunady school, Grace Artec Godfrey, were united in marriage on Sunday after noon, April 15 at 2 p.m. at the Milan Road Church of God, with the Rev. C. H. Graham officiat ing. For her wedding Miss Coker wore a navy blue Jacket dress Her accessories were white an< she carried a white Bible topped with white carnations. Following a short wedding trip the young couple are making their home with his sister who resides on the Greenwood High ways as do the Coker and God frey families. SKATING PARTY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE Rev. and Mrs. Roscoe Bryan accompanied the young people’s Sunday school class, of the Pente costal Holiness Church, to the Clinton skating rink, on Tuesday evening of last week.
