B. O’Shields. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Ballard, Misses Peggy, Marion and Pat Ballard visited the former’s brother, Will Ballard, and Mrs. Ballard in Honea Path and his nephew, Rob Ballard, and Mrs. Ballard in Hodges. Mr. and Mrs. Orin Davis of Thompson, Ga.. were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs Bill Fen nell. Mickey Henry of Erskine Col lege. Due West, spent the week end with his grandaprents, - Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Spradley. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Burdette visited relatives Sunday in Iva, and were supper guests of her mother, Mrs. W. S. Manley, in Iva. Mike Fair of Greenville, was the week-end guest of Nathan Gilstrap and accompanied him to the Shrine Bowl game in Char lotte Saturday. Mrs. Claude Gilstrap spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR DAUGHTER Saturday afternoon Mrs. Bob by Webb entertained with a party ni honor of her daughter, Cathy, woh was celebrating her fifth birthday. ■ Around twenty-four small folk came to the Web home to enjoy the occasion with Cathy. After several games the host ess, assisted by Mrs. Margie Morgan, served ice cream and cold drinks with the birthday cake. Cathy received many lovely gifts from her friends. NEW HOME DEDICATION Sunday afternoon several friends and relatives met at the evening at 7:90 at the school. The two-part program is under the direction of Mrs. Grace Con nor, music teacher. The lower grades will drama tize “The Christmas Story,” and "Why the Chimes Rang” will be presented by the upper grades. All parents and friends are in vited to attend this annual event. PINK AND BLUE SHOWER The Lydia Community Build ing was the scene of a pink and blue shower on Friday evening honoring Mrs. Wayne Templeton. A large number of friends en joyed the occasion. Mrs Templeton was presented a novelty corsage upon her ar rival.
