John R Waters and Rev John M Lynch Burial was in the church cemetery CLINTON DOWNS YORK By Allen Barron The Clinton High Red Devils applied the brakes to York’s vaunted 10-second barkfield as the Green Dragons were defeated on their own field, 13-12 The Red Devils were led by halfback Kin- ard Littleton, who scored all 13 points and gained 167 total yards. The first quarter saw both teams held scoreless. Rites For Mrs. Crisp Conducted Friday Funeral services for Mrs Maude Hill Crisp, 82, of Mount- ville, were held Friday afternoon at the Mountville Baptist Church, conducted by Rev W E. Crisp, Jr., and Rev. Melvin Hughes. Burial was in the Mountville cemetery. Pallbearers were Fuller Motes. Jerome Finley. Edward Alexan der, Roy Miller. Paul Cole, and Pierce Miller Mrs. Crisp died early Thursday morning at a Clinton hospital fol lowing a long illness The wife of Will E. Crisp, she was a native of Laurens County.
