Rev, S. D. Burton brings the messages. J. D. Sullivan, Jr. Laurens — Jared D. Sullivan, Sr., 68, died Sunday morning at his home on Rt. 2, Laurens, after several months of declining health and an Illness of-one week. He was a native of Laurens County, a son of the late Jared Dunklin Sullivan and Mrs. Rosa Lee Amanda Moore Sullivan. H* was a member of the First Metho dist Church of Laurens. Mr. Sullivan’s first wife, Mrs. Augusta Watts Sullivan, died in 1834. Surviving from that mar riage are a daughter, Mrs. Wil liam M. Bryson; a son, J. Dunk lin Sullivan, Jr.; and six grand children, all of Laurens. Also surviving are his wife, Mrs. Kathleen Nicholson Sulli van; a sister, Mrs. Charles W. Bostick of Spartanburg; and a brother, James A. Sullivan, of Laurens. Funeral services were conduct ed Monday at 9:00 p. m. at the Gray Funeral Home in Clinton by Rev. Victor R. Hickman. Burial was in the Laurens City cemetery. am Pallbearers were A. V. Bryson, Cecil Milam, Tommy Pigg, Sr., Walter Dunlap, Col. David Bab- nett, Allen Coleman, W. L. Pat terson, Jr., and Louis Sirriaa.
