WITH THE SICK Billy Lawson is able to return to work after being ill with flu last week. Mrs. Minnie Turner is able to be out again after eblng ill. John Campbell is improving after being ill. Mrs. Claude Farmer continues ill at her home home on Bailey street. GOING-AWAY PARTY On Saturlay evening Brenda Woody was honored with a going- away party at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. OveU Woody. Brenda entered Shhiner’s hospital in Greenville Monday for an operation and will remain in the hospital all summer. SERVICES CANCELLED Services at Bailey Memorial Methodist Church are being can celled for Sunday night, May 28, due to the Clinton High School baccalaureate service. WOMAN'S'CLUB MEETING The monthly meeting of the Woman’s Club was held in the Community Building Thursday. The devotional was given by Mrs. Louie Webb. The president, Mrs. Arzo Ives ter, presided. Officers for the craning year were elected, and will be installed in September. Plans for a covered dish supper on June 8 were completed. During the social hour the hostesses, Mrs. Jenny Hames, Mrs. Pauline Creswell, and Mrs. Vera Foster, served a salad and dessert plate.
