Sue isn’t a baby any more, yet she’s a long way from being a big girl. When I watched her blowing out the candles on her cake, I felt a surge of that certain kind of love reserved fdr mothers. And, while she made her wish, I made mine. I wished, first, that I might be given the gift of memory, so that I would never forget a child’s point of view—tie importance of even tt ? HtUest promises, theAldest dolls, the small est nothings. I wished that I might be given the wisdom to care for Sue’s body, mind, and soul And I was deeply grateful that I had the Church to help me teach her right from wrong, and to aid me in endowing her with a rich measure of faith, of love, and of tolerance toward bar fellow man. f * Thinking it over, I guess that my wish for Sue might be called a prayer. Each Sunday, in church, I find myself repeating it. CoRrrifkt 1M1, KtiaUr Ad». Srcrfea, —- :, v«. Johnson Bros. Super Market South Broad St. GULF OIL CORP. J. A. Addison, Distributor COOPER MOTOR CO.
